Big heatwave breaking without thunderstorms is kinda like a cold wave without the snow.

With the shower that rolled thru earlier...temp went from 94 down to 78 and back to 90 over the course of about 2.5 hrs.

Eh just 0.08" here...made it to 94° before the rain dropped it to 78°.

My warmest min so far this summer at 78°.

Many stations that can hit 90° thru Wed, will be working on a 9 day 90+ streak.

Yeah and last year it was a struggle keeping up with my two houses because of the constant rains here from July thru early Oct.

Don't recall the sea breeze pushing this far west so often in previous summers...winds ese now temp down a couple to 94°.

With a mean temp of 79.8° this July tied with 2020 as my 3rd warmest in 45 years, beaten only by 1999 and 2010. Precip of 1.77" so far would come in at 6th driest.

That "Fresh Kills" station is in the town of Travis on Staten Island btw and is just a stones throw from my station.

Better than nothing but not a whole lot here on si... 0.29" on the west shore and 0.45" in Meiers Corners section. Did fall short of 90° though at 88°.
