    The sea breeze has been loving my location this summer, it just moves in and parks itself right over me, so much early afternoon cloud cover this July/Aug + high dews. 89/80 here, because of said sea breeze causing the dew point to spike.

    Shaping up to be the warmest summer on record there, already one of the hottest cities on Earth as it is. I wonder if the people there even notice since it’s extremely hot whether it’s AN or BN. Crazy to have the warmest July on record in both PHX and NYC (LGA) on opposite sides of the country. Feels highly unusual.

    I can’t imagine how 130 might feel, I’ve experienced 120 degree heat indices, but humid heat and dry heat are two different beasts. I’d argue that humid heat is worse, but both are dangerous, 130 is lethal. And imagine not getting a severe thunderstorm warning in 14 years, yikes. I always complain about Long Island’s lack of thunderstorms compared to the rest of the region, but Christ that must suck.

    68 and drizzle, 0.05” so far. Can’t recall the last time it was this cool at this hour.

    No one would ever say “it’s over” if it were snow in February right after a top 5 cold/snowy January. I know some are itching for fall but let’s be realistic. 90/72 split today, dews in the 60’s feel so dry after endless 70’s and the odd 80+ thrown in the mix.

    8.74” here. Could be much worse, May and June were almost bone dry, July was very dry but it was bookended by enough rainfall to actually finish above normal, still not enough to make a dent in the drought, however.

    84/74 split today, 0.03” of rainfall. Today started out alright, but the second half was really nasty and drizzly.

    I’m surprised they’re putting a hotel over there, I always thought it was somewhat of a private airport with only personal planes, unless they’re trying to change that. But yeah that area has become busier, lots of shopping centers over there, loads of cars, concrete, and asphalt.

    Lol ISP is either the same or 1-2 degrees lower than here. This summer it’s been consistently lower though. FRG is turning into LGA lol.

    86/75 split here today, 0.31” of rainfall. Might be the first time this summer that my high was lower than ISP, though the rain is to blame.

    0.20” here from the first showers that have since dissipated, plus 0.11” from the storms this morning. Already more rain than Isaias.

    The browning seems to be getting worse, I wonder if the lack of rain to wash off the salt is partly to blame. It’s getting pretty ugly out there. 86/80/100 right now, 0.11” downpour this morning.

    I’d like to go back in time and experience 1966 (weather-wise not socially). 1936 is another one. Unless you’re in Long Island.
