  1. The sun is breaking through the clouds here for the first time in what feels like a week+.
  2. Finally got a little taste of sun today, for about 20-30 minutes in Central Jersey. Car thermometer got up to 75, which was the highest temp reading between Long Island and southern Virginia. Lowest was 66 just north of Richmond, temp shot up to 73 in the UHI. Fall foliage in Central Jersey and even swaths of South Jersey and Delaware is further along than in NYC and Long Island, shockingly. Maryland outside of Baltimore and DC looked like NYC/LI.
  3. 70 here, if these clouds would stay away it’d be even warmer. Low was 61. 72/53 yesterday.
  4. Briefly touched 39.4, first 30’s, no frost thankfully.
  5. 43 here, lowest so far this season, this is supposed to be our low temp but I’m cautious as I still have tropical plants outdoors.
  6. 1.99” here. Still atrocious outside. This is my least favorite type of weather, the only saving grace is that it isn’t cold.
  7. 1.90” event total so far. Much needed. Monthly total now 1.94”.
  8. 0.77” here so far. First real rain this month, which is almost halfway over.
  9. Ominous skies ~30 mins ago, looking north towards CT. Dark and windy now.
  10. 71/51 split today. 0.01” this AM from a very short lived downpour.
  11. Southern Magnolia still blooming here, I don’t know when they typically stop, but it’s been blooming since June. 69 here, should squeeze out another 70.
  12. Mine is also an Ambient Osprey, but I use it with an Ecowitt GW1000 + Ambient’s WeatherBridge. The Osprey feeds into the GW1000, and the GW1000 feeds into the WeatherBridge. I have the Ecowitt Lightning Detector which is the exact same as Ambient’s and the WeatherBridge uploads it all to the Ambient site. Ambient’s newer display (WS-2000) for the Osprey also allows for lightning detection, and is much simpler than my set up lol.
  13. 21 days, this is ridiculous for late summer / early Fall.
  14. 0.58” event total, the vast majority of which fell after midnight. Winds were roaring overnight but luckily I only saw one downed tree.
  15. 0.01” so far. Forgot eastern sections were under a Wind Advisory, it’s dead calm right now.
  16. Not seeing much/any turning foliage here, but then again everything’s salt-burned and/or partially bald from Isaias. Hoping to jackpot for a change.
  17. 76/67 split here today. Couldn’t stay clear long enough to make a run at 80, unlike yesterday which hit 83. 0.05” fell last evening, 0.01” fell overnight.
  18. 83/64 split today. Cleared out for a bit before clouding back over.
  19. A little bit of clearing and now it’s in the 80’s, dews in the 70’s, this is perfect.
  20. Models really treat Long Island like the ocean.
  21. 81 here, low was 49. Edit: High of 82. Much more appropriate for Sept.
