  1. Stepped out of IKEA in Hicksville and it was special effects snowing, perfectly spaced large flakes falling gently. Temp is 33.
  2. I’m a few miles west of ISP and 7.4” sounds kind of high, I just don’t see it (for here, not ISP). Average depth this morning was in the 3 inch range, granted it rained and there was compaction, but still. I’m going to keep it as my total since I don’t have anything else. These types of events are a pain.
  3. 3-4 inches of hard slush here, almost ice but not quite. No real total due to rain and compaction. I’m just gonna go with whatever ISP recorded. I recorded 3.5” at about 8:30 PM, likely snowed for at least 2 hours after that, then temps went above freezing before midnight and stayed above freezing for ~5 hours.
  4. Above freezing here for roughly 5 hours, from 11:50 PM to 4:42 AM, topped out at 34 before crashing, temp is 29 and still plummeting. I didn’t look but I heard what sounded like rain and/or melting snow/sleet. Measuring is going to be a nightmare, if not impossible.
  5. 3.5” here. 29°F with moderate to heavy snow and gusty winds. First time driving this car in the snow, and I’ve had it for over a year. I had a windshield cover sitting in the trunk unopened, waiting for this day.
  6. Not trying to ruffle any feathers or anything. Even if Philly was as busy as the others I’d still stay in this sub forum lol, I’d just be the southernmost member. Lmao.
  7. I never understood why the NYC and Philly sub forums were separate, the Philly sub forum so dead. If I end up in Central/South Jersey I’ll still be posting here.
  8. Mid 60’s and sunny in South Jersey today. Long Island still foggy, glad I’m not there right now.
  9. I feel the same way. Unless it’s a blizzard with thundersnow, I’ll take that any day of the week between 1/1 and 2/15, after that I don’t want snow at all, not even a flurry. But snow squalls are my favorite, 12/24/13 in Central Suffolk is my all-time favorite snowstorm, ~5 inches fell in a span of 45 minutes, and it was fluffy, none of that heavy wet crap.
  10. You really radiate much more than me. Low of 32 here. I’m just south of the moraine, it’s flat from here all the way to the Atlantic (and to Florida), but it gets hilly immediately to the north of me.
  11. I just realized my weather radio never made a sound last night. Lol yikes. Might be time to get a new one. I didn’t see any damage this morning, other than a fallen tree. I think everything that could’ve fallen over already did during Isaias.
  12. Tornado Warning alert came through while the rotation was almost right on top of me, it went just to the north of me by maybe 1000 feet or so.
