Just saw a small meteorite burn up over Coram/Selden at a pretty low altitude, I saw the smoke and everything. Came in like a missile. Not far off from the flight path into ISP.
Roughly 7.3” here, highest amount was 8” even, lowest was 6” even.
Still some very light snow but it’s much brighter now with the sun starting to peak through.
Made it up to 87 here, I wish this happened tomorrow (Saturday) instead.
This year has really been a snoozefest on all fronts, the only exception being the 100+ degree heat in June and July.
The east end getting slammed of course. They’re like the South Jersey of Long Island, it doesn’t make meteorological sense to me.
It’s so dry here my Rosemary is wilting.
My PWS is seeing rates over 4 inches per hour on the north shore. Ground is hard and bone dry so I wonder how that’s going.
I’m near ISP right now where it’s dry but looks 8 PM.
