  1. We had a similar stretch in November 2020, about 7 or 8 days of +15 to +20 weather. The month was +3 to +5 across the area after that.
  2. Got .55 from that. Probably finished off quite a few trees but it was a nice, multi hour soaker.
  3. Since I made that post the rain has picked back up and it's been a good moderate soaker for the last 20 minutes.
  4. We've had a good hour and a half or so of moderate to heavy at times rain. It's down to light rain now but it's still coming down steady.
  5. After a few spotty showers earlier, a nice moderate rainfall ongoing here as well. Looks like what Holston is getting is heading my way too. Hopefully it goes all the way into Virginia and North Carolina.
  6. The high was 39 today. First high in the 30s probably since the March snow event.
  7. I seem to recall snow around this time of year in 1995 but it was during the evening/overnight rather than during daylight hours. End of October/early November it's much more common. In 2014 we had a few inches Halloween night into November 1st. 1993 we had 3 inches on Halloween afternoon into early evening. We got snow from Sandy in 2013 on the 23rd I believe.
  8. From about 9:45 when it was coming down at it's hardest.
  9. GFS keeps trying to brew something up around Halloween.
  10. Last night the long range had some snow showers around Halloween/November 1st. Hopefully November blows cold.
  11. Managed .85 inches of rain, slow and soaking. Should really help with fire danger as leaves are really coming off and the 20s coming over the next few days will really bring them down.
  12. Two snowy winters in a row. We win the SEC basketball tournament for the first time in 40 years, now we beat Florida and Alabama in the same year for the first time in forever. It's a great time to be alive in Tennessee.
  13. I managed .45 last night and yesterday. There was close to 2 inches 40 miles west of here. Hopefully we get more Saturday into Sunday.
  14. Quite a run of the GFS in about 10 days. Eastern Kentucky paste bomb.
  15. 31 degrees this morning. Somewhat early for a freeze but not unheard of here. Definitely not one of those years like a few years ago when October was hitting 90.
  16. The frosty mornings this week have leaves on fire. Based on how it looks now, I'd say we will peak here by October 20th.
  17. Looks like most of us are barely going to get anything from Ian at this point and the 16 day forecast is dry as well. Unfortunate as we head into fire season.
  18. 37 this morning but no frost. The heat was on, even though I'd set it at 67.
  19. Hit 39 this morning, first time since spring. Fairly early but not unheard of to get upper 30s in late September.
  20. I'd like to get a nice soaker as fall settles in, just to dampen the fire risk.
  21. Down go the Gators! I nearly had a heart attack at the end, but sweet relief. Heupel looks like a genius on offense, hopefully we can pull off some form of defense.
  22. Made it down to 43 this morning. Currently 65 and sunny.
  23. The GFS is hot still, but not as hot as it was 36 hours ago, which was bonkers hot, the Canadian is cooler than the GFS and the Euro is cooler than the Canadian at D8-10. The ensembles are seemingly hotter than the ops. One thing that does appear to happen, it will get dry here during that time frame. I hate it when we get really hot and dry as leaves begin to fall due to wildfire danger literally in my back yard.
