    That's what it will be for us. Maybe an additional 1-2" on Sunday but most of this is Saturday night here. Many of us may see a bit of drizzle or even sleet during the overnight as we dry out the SGZ.

    GFS is one hell of a thump for CT tomorrow night followed by some currier and ives nonsense Kevin will be able to slantstick Sunday.

    I think New Haven gets 4 or 5" during the thump. Soundings look pretty good and should be able to wet bulb close to freezing along with some diabatic cooling from melting.

    Bulk of our snow here is going to be Saturday evening through like 1a/2a Sunday. Going to catch some people off guard as I was really hammering around or just before daybreak Sunday.

    The RGEM isn't even all that far fetched. All the models are trending closer to the trailing vort phasing nicely. I love a storm that matures and closes off at the mid levels right at our longitude.

    Yeah I debated heading out of the city but figured I might as well just stay there. Dallas gets it a bit longer than Fort Worth.

    It was a 1-sec gust and not the 3-sec ASOS standard. I wonder what a reasonable conversion factor would be between 1-sec and 3-sec. Maybe 85%?

    Can't say i've ever looked at a Reggie wind gust map. Probably won't start now lol

    They spit out 50-60 knots for every event like this. Very few actually do it. My point was that this one it was clear that it was possible given how the soundings looked.

    The raw wind gust maps from the models are such a cancer. They're almost completely worthless. Looking at the soundings on BUFKIT you could see as early as Friday that this one had potential to be a big problem in spots in a way that the typical events don't.

    What a bummer for ski country. Okemo was a lot of fun this weekend. Certainly not great but the snow was soft and the crowds weren't bad at all.

    Yup. Agreed. Was shocked at how well it handled virtually anything I threw at it last winter.
