  1. Somehow all the tropical showers have avoided MBY. Only a trace so far
  2. Our only hope is Elsa trending west. Piedmont folks may get some but western piedmont and foothills looks dry the next few weeks other than pop up storms. And that is a model consensus.
  3. I disagree. Looks pretty dry to me.
  4. Ended up with .54. I will take it but was really hoping for over an inch. Looks to be dry for at least 4 or 5 days.
  5. .13 so far and still sprinkling #winning
  6. I'm right on the edge of the darkest shade of brown in WNC
  7. Anyone else noticed the lack of thunderstorms this year so far? I think we have had 3 or 4 decent storms all year. Normally it's an every evening deal this time of year here near the Blue Ridge.
  8. The rivers are pitifully low here, I hope we get a couple inches of rain with this next front for the last hoorah of trout fishing before fall
  9. Euro says the front will push through all the way to the Gulf coast
  10. And wet the previous few days before independence day. For once the western part of the state is running behind the eastern part this month
  11. Picked up another .27 to put me over 4 inches for the month. Close to average
  12. .43 today and still raining lightly. 3.85 for the month. Could use a bit more but not bad.
  13. Don't think it will stay dry long with the influx of gulf moisture likely by next weekend or so
  14. Well we got crushed today with 1.7 and the best storm of the summer. Over 3 inches for the month now.
  15. .17 today, mostly missed again. Some places near the blue ridge have picked up over 3 inches the past 4 or 5 days. Just 1.2 here.
  16. .62 here today. Right at an inch for the month. Been a bit weird here though lots of heavy downpours but very little lightning.
  17. .32 today for a total of .55 this month. Nickel and diming my way to a happy lawn.
  18. We got in on a little action yesterday but still sitting at .23 for the month.
  19. I'm in a similar situation here. Only .05 this month and rain all around.
  20. 1.1 here the last 4 days, picture perfect day today. Looks like summer thunderstorms will increase in coverage and most of the state should get decent rains the next week or so.
  21. I will probably go up to where Halls Chapel road crosses the river and park on the other side of the river. I missed one in that area a few weeks back that was over 20 inches. He's probably gone but worth another try. It's a nice area to wade, you can wade downstream for a mile or more below the bridge before its posted land. The river is actually really low for May. Summer fishing may be really rough this year if we don't get more heavy rain. I would love to try for some muskies, but would have no idea what I'm doing.
  22. Hey guys, I'm going fishing Saturday morning (7-NOONISH) up to South Toe river in Yancey County. I know that's a long trip for many of you but if you want to join me send me a message and we can meet up!
  23. Nasty cell fired up just to my southeast. Small hail near Glenwood
