My last WX station report was 3:57 pm. Guess I should leave work and check the sump pump battery backup.

Our house was not damaged. Had a few big branches fall but all trees stayed up, unlike neighbors. Thanks for asking. Glad you also fared well.

Roads closed and many trees down in north baltimore county. The H on the radar is my home. Does the red velocity indicate rotation or a downburst? I do not see a bright green next to it. The red followed the storm at least a mile.

Know that the ECMWF showed a similar result two days ago

I am counting on the ECMWF ice on the 25th to disappear.

I know hr 384 of the GFS is totally unreliable.

It is interesting how Google Maps kept directing us away from well established delays as we drove from VA to N Md, only to steer us through every developing, heavy rain event along the route. Not the safest choice as we saw a very recient accident about every 5 miles for a considerable part of the journey.

April 8th Eclipse- Last Easy One To See In My Lifetime

12 hours driving each way was worth the 4 minutes of totality. I took this picture using a Samsung S24 Ultra from Sweetwater lake, Indiana. The best description is that it looked freekey, like a hole in the sky.- 564 replies

Radar shows something small and soon.

I am grateful that the rain held off enough for me to get 7 more rows of corn planted tonight. Hoping it is not too late. The 50 tomato plants are doing well. .

Time to think cold. What is your favorite snow memory?

I measured 0.27 so maybe I need to clean out the rain collector on the WX station.

It is amazing how much the N95 really helps. I just moved a pile of firewood and had no problems breathing with the smoke/odor except for the burning eyes.

My veg gardens are as loose and dry as the surface of a sand dune and they are too big to water using our well.

I tilled my 100'x24' garden today. The soil was more dry than I ever remember for this time in the spring. At least the soil, now tilled can retain more rain as it occurs. With this prelude, I am wondering what is in store for us this summer.
