12 hours driving each way was worth the 4 minutes of totality. I took this picture using a Samsung S24 Ultra from Sweetwater lake, Indiana. The best description is that it looked freekey, like a hole in the sky. -

I am grateful that the rain held off enough for me to get 7 more rows of corn planted tonight. Hoping it is not too late. The 50 tomato plants are doing well. .

2087, after shoveling heavy snow, smelling the turkey roasting in the oven before I even reached the front door!!!!! -
I measured 0.27 so maybe I need to clean out the rain collector on the WX station.

It is amazing how much the N95 really helps. I just moved a pile of firewood and had no problems breathing with the smoke/odor except for the burning eyes.

My veg gardens are as loose and dry as the surface of a sand dune and they are too big to water using our well.

I tilled my 100'x24' garden today. The soil was more dry than I ever remember for this time in the spring. At least the soil, now tilled can retain more rain as it occurs. With this prelude, I am wondering what is in store for us this summer.
