Witnesses report a truck with Maryland tags driving through the blizzard with a half dozen sleep deprived crazy dudes making snow videos. " They had all the windows open and a bunch of Beethoven music blasting out. Crazy. They're not gonna be here all winter are they?"
Ah, when you first posted, I was thinking is this deja-vu (?) but maybe I'm remembering someone else. Oh well, one step at a time; hoping for the best.
I don't think the hideous creatures mind cold. I concluded this after years of visiting the North Country where the mosquitoes are more plentiful/annoying than here. Sorry, I don't have an explanation either.
(This statement is not meant to diminish my sympathy. You are not alone. )
Over 1400 at Hibbing MN, according to this post on our Lakes regional:

This is a strange heat wave. Both Annapolis and Salisbury running hotter than BWI and AAFB. Opposite of usual. Early July, KNAK never got above 97 while the others were 101/102.
I didn't expect to get over 95 here today. (Shows my forecasting skill I guess )
My (Canadian) Dad (RIP) made a very similar report at the same time; pushing our neighbor's car in thunder-snow in Howard County. Said it was the heaviest snow he'd ever seen. (And, he was a guy who had seen a lot.)
Yeah, it's too disturbingly unpleasant for a profile photo. Could give the kids nightmares.
(If you want a nightmare, just go back and read through one of our winter storm threads.)
