It’s difficult to capture in a photo (except maybe for @Juliancolton) just how gorgeous sunset was here tonight with ice still on everything. As the wind blows you can hear the nice creaking and cracking. Deep winter.

Yeah, Boxing Day is on my favorites list up here, 18” and some terrific drifting enhanced by the open farm fields around me.

Yeah, it’ll be nice to get some of this .4” of ice off the trees before the winds tomorrow night. My driveway is a lost cause, thankfully that raging pacific jet (wish I had a quarter for every time that phrase is used) will warm things up this weekend.

The required two guys responsible for hoisting mine (sometimes myself included) into the bed of a pickup often muttered the same thing but alcoholic beverages can be a great motivator for some.

Yep, just look at two weeks ago, the flip to sleet was pretty much from the start rather than after some accumulation, at least over here it was anyway.

Did the 6z show 6-8”? I saw 4-6” across all of the OC for the 0z from my source.

I still have scattered snow around the yard and plenty of piles but officially zero at the stake this morning.

Still snow at my stakes this morning, impressive. Looks like most will be gone tomorrow morning, can't complain about 13 days with snow cover though.
