  1. Possibly. There was enough here that some of the roads were plowed.
  2. I was born in New Hampshire but raised in NY since the age of 5 so I’m luckily familiar with many of the sites up there, I go up about once a year. The museum in North Conway is cool, been there a couple times, glad you got to see it too. I’ve been up there spring, summer, and fall but this was my first trip in the winter since 1982 so it was long overdue. I’ve driven up Mount Washington a couples times, rode up a couple times, took the train my first time up and have ridden in the coaches up in summer and now winter. The Mount Washington Auto Road runs snow coaches in the winter, well worth it for folks like us especially, here’s a link: https://www.mtwashingtonautoroad.com/snowcoach-mock-up I was up Whiteface once in the fall, that was also beautiful. Here’s a couple photos this morning from the top of Kancamagus Pass.
  3. I got this one early this evening looking at Loon.
  4. Took a ride on the Mount Washington Snow Coach today, a must for any winter enthusiast. It took us to around 4,000 feet where it was -2 with 40mph winds. Deep winter.
  5. Here’s a few from today from Franconia Notch, Mount Washington, and Crawford Notch. I’d say the Mount Washington Snow Coach is a must for winter enthusiasts. The took us to just over 4,000 feet where it was -2 with 40 MPH winds and higher gusts.
  6. Here’s one, you know the photos never do the snow justice.
  7. The storm knocked the internet out here and the cell service is slow. Let me see if I can get anything up que @BxEngine
  8. Pouring snow here... in Lincoln NH for the weekend.
  9. I believe it is bold if there are new posts in that thread since the last time one visited.
  10. KMGJ doesn’t measure snow as far as I know. I believe that total comes from the Crist Bros CoCoRaHS reports from Walden going back several decades.
  11. I think many of us wish we had started earlier with better records. I did have some 95-96 stuff jotted down on the old Commodore 128 but it’s long gone LOL. I started a weather log back in 1999 where I recorded a lot but still not as meticulous as I am now which started when I moved here in May 2005. That said, work sometimes gets in the way of measuring snow plus I’m not pulling all nighters to measure exactly when a storm ends in the middle of the night. Anyway, here are some numbers, remember I’m only a couple miles as the crow flies from KMGJ: KMGJ long term, last I checked: 42.2” My average here since 2005: 46.8” My 09-10 thru 18-19: 49.1”
  12. That’s a nice seasonal average, how long back do your records go at your location?
  13. I noticed in my driveway stripes of snow left behind from when the sun popped out for a couple of minutes and melted the snow that wasn’t in a trees shadow.
  14. Yes sir, .10” on the board here from yesterday evening.
  15. @Midlo Snow Maker planted that seed in my head years ago but I’ve never got around to setting one up. He’s the king of home snow making.
  16. And deer shit, I come home from work nearly every day to at least a half dozen of those bastards eating the grass and using my yard as their bathroom.
  17. Tomorrow it will be really, really, really over.
  18. It’s takes a lot of time typing out all the letters to words, there are clearly some very very busy people over there...AWT
  19. For a new guy that’s a pretty damn good explanation
  20. Only to be topped by people who say that they give up on winter...and have to remind everyone with multiple posts on how they gave up. Ok, we get it, thanks, now go haunt some other board. My word.
