    The rainfall rate peaked at 4.14” per hour, .51” in the Davis now with lighter rain still falling, will have to go check the Stratus when it’s done as that was quite the downpour.

    Under a cell that popped up just to my west decent lightning and thunder, no hail but a peak rainfall rate of 3.02” per hour right now.

    I have the Black and Decker 40v weed whacker, blower and 12” chainsaw, love them, so easy to use and maintain. The blower is ok, good for the grass clippings after mowing and leaves on the walk but you’re not going to get far with heavy leaves in the yard come fall but that’s ok, I have another blower for that when needed.

    Personally, no but that’s due to my location within a county park. The area in general, yes, my infant grandson was disturbed numerous times last night while trying to go to sleep where my son lives in Middletown. There was an article in the local paper this morning about the issue.

    Brown fields as far as the eye can see here as well, sitting at .37” for June here. This only increases the fire risk with all the amateur fireworks these days.

    I’d water. Even if there are showers there’s no guarantee where they will be or how much they will drop. It’s super dry here any thunderstorm I get now will certainly just run off.

    I have zero issues letting my relatively weed free yard going dormant. If I’m having a party I will occasionally use sprinklers on that section of the yard, otherwise let Mother Nature deal with it.
