  1. We have Central Hudson and their website is down due to internet storm damage, oh joy.
  2. 1.35” in the Davis, need to check the Stratus
  3. Lost power about 30 minutes ago, lots of branches down. Not a fan.
  4. He was in the eye wall as it ramped up to 85 mph last night, the lights flickered off and back on once and some sand got under the posts for the stairs from the dune down to the beach lifting them up. So that needs to be dug out a bit and that's it, no other issues fortunately. Of course everything there is built to stand up to hurricanes to a certain Cat, which one I'm not sure, which helps a lot.
  5. Not sure if you you saw it buried in the main thread but my son rode it out in a beach house in SC, was in what there was of the western eye wall last night, and quite possibly the edge of the eye itself as the winds just went to calm for a 30-45 minutes after ripping all evening. He was underwhelmed for a bit yesterday afternoon but that changed quickly as the center got closer, it was fun seeing his videos and chatting with him while all of this was going on yesterday evening.
  6. @Juliancolton I just saw a couple trees in one of the wet areas on Greenville Mountain showing color...it’s coming
  7. My son has been working remotely from a house on the beach just south of Pawleys Island, SC...he might get some good photos/videos in a few days...
  8. 71 for the low here, warmest minimum of the year, disguising.
  9. 92 for the high here, not memorable in the least allow it’s the first 90 plus in a while here, I guess that’s exciting. I’ve had one low that remained above 70 and that low was 70.
  10. Street flooding in Port Jervis https://www.facebook.com/100002837598902/posts/2803679693069923/?d=n
  11. Maybe we'll get our first heat wave this weekend into early next week.
  12. Anyone out here in the ‘burbs have a heat wave yet? For July I have had four days with highs of at least 90 but I haven’t had any back to back let alone three in a row.
  13. Yeah, that sucks for sure . I've often said, I have no idea how farmers do it, as there are so many things against you when you're trying to grow things, especially food.
  14. Yesterday’s total was 1.04”, the Davis was clogged so my reading comes from the Stratus. That said, the storm that just blew through here was way heavier than anything I say yesterday. Small branch’s and twigs all over the yard, eggplant, peppers, and zuc took a beating, the bride ain’t happy. .54” which fell in 10-15 minutes, the birch is now leaning the other way, I can’t win.
  15. You must be chuckling a bit to yourself with the way folks are getting "crushed" today...how quickly did you get to the 3.53" again?
  16. To be fair, that intersection has had flash flooding issues for decades, no disrespect to the deluge today though. I remember in the great '93--'94 winter that intersection flooded during the storm around 1/17 when it dumped snow in the morning, 6-8" as I recall, before a warm front blasted through changing it to rain. That evening the arctic front came through causing not only a change back to snow but a flash freeze that left roads more or less undriveable for a good week. Anyway, when it changed to rain that intersection was under water, not as bad as today but bad enough.
  17. From the Orange and Rockland County Fire page
  18. Just saw a photo of the exit ramp from 84 to 9W in Newburgh, cars underwater, not good.
