Negative, I was mistaken. I was just looking over Aprils stats and see I had 4 days of highs in the 80s with the highest of 86 on 4/19.

82 for the high, down to 77 now with a dusting...of pollen on everything.

I believe that there are a number of factors that affect soil moisture. Soil type would be a key factor, as would depth to bedrock I would think.

Was that a typo, your winter precipitation was down 70%? That’s quite the difference from up here. As of the start of this month my water year (starts Oct 1) was only 2” down from the KMGJ long term average, and down 4” from my own personal records over the last 20 years.

The sun has been out a few times here, cloudy again at the moment.

32.2” for the season yesterday, 1.55” of rain, sleet, snow for the event.

I didn’t have “Wake up to snow cover on 4/13” on my bingo card. The storm was an over performer on precip as well, with over 1.50” here.
