It's only down to 1002 mb but you can tell this is a different kinda system with how steady the wind is. I've felt less wind with sub 999mb systems. Also there's definitly more of a chill in the air which I find a little odd with it having tropical remnants.
Yea I am not rooting for heavy rain. Warmth and sun all day for me in the summer but it's cool once in awhile to see a system in the summer look sort of similar to a strong snowstorm on radar. Just looking at the weather.gov radar and the well defined deformation zone precip is getting me excited to track some winter storms.
I was at stoney creek when the first storm popped north of us. I hopped on my bike and made it home a lil bit ago just beating the rain. While I enjoy the heat, this Florida everyday rain around 3pm is annoying. I'm ready to go back to 75 and low humidity.
I have been riding my bike every morning 10-12, and with the cloud cover, yesterday and today didn't feel bad at all. Of course the sun peeked out towards the end and man what a difference, went from what felt like 80 to 90+.
We got to be close to some may records for rainfall, atleast up here in macomb. We've had atleast 5 days this month where atleast an inch of rain fell.
Pretty legit warned storm slowly rolling through. Oddly enough no sirens, as I thought they sounded them for any warned storm around here. Usually severe storms around here are part of a derecho rolling through quickly but this puppy is crawling at 10 mph. Counted atleast 10 cloud to ground strikes pretty much within a half mile. Winds testing my newly installed vinyl fence....
My friend on sanibel island texted me last night and said it was pretty cool. Pretty unusual for them. I remember someone in texas reported seeing them around the millennium.
It always amazes me the streaks we go on as far as precipitation or lack thereof. It seems like its rained almost every other day the past month, while other years we can go 20+ days without rain.
I follow bob menery on IG. Guys an attention whore but hes hanging out with reed timmer and got some great videos.

The rain here has never been more than just showers. Perhaps overnight some banding setup that helped catch up on what the models were showing. Some had 2+ so doubt we'll even come close to that. Ready for some sun and warmth tomorrow for the tigers doubleheader.
Yea I noticed their first qpf graphic had spotty yellow amounts, then they got rid of it, then doubled down and went back to it for the whole area lol. I guess I can't say they are being lazy this go around as they normally are with their graphic forecasts.
Yesterday pm runs of Models had 1.5-2 inches here. I doubt we've had more than .2. If this were a winter system, I'd be pissed lol. Donut hole overhead.
Here in central macomb, the thin line of clouds is almost overhead but isn't hindering the view of the eclipse, almost totality here. Pretty neat and eerie.
