    Our biggest snow of the winter gonna be when 1-2 was forecasted. Just goes to show how much the models struggle with phasing. It rained this morning in florida for the first time in weeks and the roads are slick. I can't imagine how bad the roads are there with temps in the teens.

    If only the system got its act together 6 hours before it did, the area could be looking at 6-12, maybe more.

    Don't let know it alls scare you off. I don't ever get the fuss over people in here complaining about lack of headlines or vice versa during events. Most of the public is too stupid to even take any headlines seriously. Someone is still gonna drive home or go about their business whether a snow squall headline was issued or not.

    Ahh yea I didn't recall that one since the east side had mixing. Was a nice storm for central/western metro. Still would be nice to have to fly home for a good storm.

    If I didn't know any of the details of the storm and looked at the radar right now, I'd be so pumped. Dark greens in the winter. Gross soaker.

    Another December in the books without a legit snowfall around these parts. Zzzzz decembers becoming the norm.

    The point is a big chunk of the big systems that take a favorable track for us are Miller b and transfer energy to the coast. Not all, but a lot.

    it always amazes me how we can go a week with temps in the teens but as soon as a decent system with some moisture rolls along, were battling precip issues. This upcoming ice event will be two decent systems in a row with precip issues, all while below avg temps this month.

    I'm heading south tomorrow until March 1st. Of course I'll will fly home for a good storm. Nothing has come up the past 5 winters to warrant a trip back.

    I'll take today's 45 and sun, feels like 60 out there from the single digits we felt a few days ago. This storm looks to develop and blossom overhead so maybe dynamic cooling can take over and deliver the snow goods.

    Always been my thought process. But some still enjoy useless cold and 4 hours to get an inch events over 60s in the winter.

    Yes they can occur. But not often. When there's arctic air in our backyard, storms stay to our south mostly. We almost need to be the transition zone/ baroclinic zone to get that big daddy....

    Our criteria are different. I think grabbing a beer with beavis would be alot more fun and entertaining than with you hoss.

    It can happen but rarely does. Also if you could read hoss, my first post said big snows and high ratio 6-9 isn't a big snow. Yea you need cold air to get big snows but not in your backyard (temps in teens). Take a break being a clown hoss.

    Yes but the big dogs usually bring some warmer temps with more moisture, if they make it this far north with arctic air in place. There's a reason detroit didnt get more than 3 inches in one event in the cold pattern we've been in for 2 weeks+.

    We dont get big snows with temps in the teens and nw flow.

    Thnk goodness its gonna be avg the rest of the year. Gotta have warmer temps to get the big snows.

    Im a huge nfl fan but you'll never see me at a game like that or pouring rain. Best thing about being a lions fan. Atleast im comfy when i see goff blow it in big games.
