  1. I was thinking this the other day when I realized its been basically cali weather here since August with little rain and beautiful weather. Being a snow weenie, I feel like this drought can mean great things for the winter as the pattern has to flip to wetter soon. Or it could go the other way and patterns die hard and it stays dry through the winter. Either way I'd rather it be dry than it being active and wasting precip during the fall.
  2. Different strokes I suppose. I enjoy summer as much as snow in the winter. I am not a hunter. Not sure how anyone finds sitting on your ass watchin your life pass you by hoping you can shoot an animal appealing. I prob would enjoy being away from people and enjoying the nature aspect of hunting. But I'd imagine most would rather fast forward through the rest of october/november.
  3. While I understand people enjoy the colors, there is nothing else about fall that is appealing. Okay cool enjoy the colors but once that's done, I think most are ready to fast forward to snow.
  4. Said no one ever. they were even low humidity days. quit your whining
  5. Thats a great stat. Had to of been close a few days tho. What a run we've been on since mid August. Top shelf cali weather. Looks like possibly the last 80 degree days coming up. You would think eventually we're going to start to get some precipitation and hopefully that happens with the temps crashing soon. Were due for a harsh winter, temps and snow wise.
  6. I've done my fair share of whining and bitching in here during the winter months and people don't like whiners. Not everyone contributes the same style of posts, some bring more to the board meteorologically. Unfortunately there's some that can't just scroll past a boring, whiny, useless post during slow times. Some post 3 word posts daily and don't get called out due to them being part of the cool kid crowd. This forum is really just high school all over again. chistorm/alek are the bullies, schaum is a wannabe bully, rest of chic are the cool kids. Most mich posters are the nerds, some mich posters are cool but chicago posters think they're cooler and stebo is our principal that comes to work once a week. During the slow times, people get bored and like to start shit. Then posters from certain states come to a person's defense, then it somehow becomes the same ol michigan posters vs chicago/wi posters. Unfortunately it doesn't help Michigan's side that spartman is on our team.
  7. Let's save all the precip for the winter months. Not sure why so many people want severe storm in their backyards.
  8. The heat ridge/dome seems to sit/max out just to our west, with the major heat staying in the middle of the country. I'd imagine this is most often the case and normal.
  9. Day 12 of no rain. If it doesn't rain on Tuesday we might be looking at a month straight of no precip after getting close to 5 inches on july 28th. It doesn't get any better. The humidity hasn't been that bad either.
  10. Another top shelf day up here in bellaire,mi with minimal haze/smoke today. 85/43 humidity. This is what we wait 8 months for lol.
  11. Could potentially go 14+ days with no precip. Even with the smoke today, it was beautiful. It definitly has been feast or famine precip wise the past few months. It hasn't rained often but when it has, 3 inches+ has fallen 3 different times in less than a few hours, when rain chances were forecasted at 30%.
  12. Looks like 10+ days of dry/low humidity days. It's you're lucky summer.
  13. Other then that 5 inches that fell locally in a few hours a month ago and 2 inches that fell with the last event, its been quiet. Yesterday was perfect. Last week Intermediate lake up north in Bellaire felt the warmest I've ever felt it, which is interesting because it wasn't a warm spring and not an overly hot summer so far. Perhaps its the lack of deep cold winters lately.
  14. Looks to last in the east lakes, 80 and low humidity for quite awhile.
  15. I think we can both compromise and agree that today is a top shelf summer day with the limited humidity. Although I'd imagine 75 instead of 85 would be your preference.
  16. I'm assuming his aunts sister is older. Obviously some people have lives and leave their houses but you'd be surprised how many people that live in florida, don't leave their houses much, even in the pleasant winter months. Most people (atleast on the gulf side/tampa, fort myers) have pools, nice screened in lanai's and don't have a need to leave the house. Younger people have migrated down there but a lot have left as they realized it's not as desirable as it was during covid. Most older people just stay at home, regardless of weather. I lived in austin for a year. While it's hot, there's still tons to do outside. Definitely beats artic air.
  17. Yea its definitly adaptable but like with alot of things, it's all mental. In time, one should be able to learn to adapt, tolerate and even be productive in it.
  18. Funny thing is we can tolerate the heat by going out on the boat or to go the beach. When its cold in the south, they hibernate and don't even leave the house. Although that sounds like thats you in the summer here lol.
  19. They say the same when they have those rare days in the 40s. Thats us for atleast 5 months. All depends on individuals tolerance. I think most people would take warmth over arctic air.
  20. Prob gonna end up with 7+ inches of rain today. Been awhile I seen flooding like I've seen today around here.
  21. The cloud cover this may has been ridiculous. Looks like it's finally gonna man up temp wise.
  22. I think by now you know not to take anything I say to ❤️. I spend winter in a tropical climate when its zzzz. I do travel back for snow which is in its own right may be considered to some as sick in the head. I dont recall a pattern like this for this long 6+ days in late may. Luckily it looks to dry out for the weekend for movement in hart plaza..
  23. As if this shit doesn't suck enough, you gotta keep reminding us how sick in the head you are. Who enjoys this shit in may.
  24. 8 days in a row of clouds and barely hitting 60, gross. Guess it's time to head to vegas where it looks like they're gonna Crack 100 for the first time this yr.
  25. I have been home from Florida for 65 days and I think we've had maybe 20 decent days. I'd be okay if we deleted march and April from the calendar.
