Everyone that lives in Michigan says this on days like today but once summer comes, there's not a better place be than in Michigan, particularly up north out on the lake or out on the links. Unfortunately it only lasts 5 months.
Just had some legitimate thunder/lightning with the ongoing sleet/snow. Prob most exciting thing we'll see around here until hopefully snow on christmas.
It was pretty much a non-event here. Considering it was bowing out, I expected much more. It's like once they make their way over the oakland hills. they peter out.
Considering its the first severe event of the season, you'd think the watch would've been issued awhile ago but I understand their hesitancy. People already don't trust/believe meteorologists around here when it comes to severe weather so they don't wanna over hype. Also with the sun going down, perhaps they believe we'll lose some instability.
Hope he doesn't have a social media page with followers....
Dreary, drizzle with overcast. Not seeing much this far north but who knows. We seem to get the best storms when we least expect it around here.
Nothing grinds my gears more than colder than avg April's. My bad memory is well documented on here but I'd venture to guess April's have been avg to below avg temp wise more than half the time the last 10 years.
70 degrees to snow. I wish we could just flip from cold to warm and not have to go through this 2 month period march/April of mediocrity where were most likely not to get a snowstorm or severe weather or warm enough temps that last more than 2 days.
Pretty wild day so far. Woken up by boomers at 7am. Saw a storm pop up right overhead and gust easily to 50mph a little bit ago. Warmth feels good. Some warned storms coming into the state currently. Lots of low clouds racing by. Gotta luv spring storm systems, unfortunately it comes with wedges further south. You hate to see them occur at night.
Both cities had equally shitty winters. Having more snow depth at times this winter is nothing to brag about lol. How about a bowling ball event where both cities get big snows
I love snow but once march comes along, I'm ready for warmth, selfishly record warmth, especially if it's been a shit winter. Regardless they will come up with some excuse as to why prices of fruit or anything else is so high so let's torch.
Gfs doing weird things with the threat for the 6th.
All models seem to be developing a secondary but obviously those are very fluid and going to take a while before the models can pin it down.
