  1. Yep. Nighttime lows in the 60s-70s-(80s?) for the next 6 months.
  2. Sort of fun, here's solar production for the day at my house. Hello eclipse.
  3. Was very cool to see a ton of people out in the local park by my house, just watching. We had good timing with the cloud deck here as it approached maximum. Everything muted, gray, and cool, but still quite bright. A sort of eerie light when you look at the woods or the sky away from the sun and see blue... but it's just not the right shade. Awesome!
  4. Scattered clouds over the immediate DC metro... go away!
  5. Very cool to see all the traffic headed to the zone of totality on google maps right now. Here's NE, but lots of examples across the midwest too..
  6. Yeah, holy smokes on the bridge collapse. Not a good day in Maryland. RIP for those who are lost. This is going to have regional impacts for a long time.
  7. Best day of 2024 yet today?
  8. They get all the clippers before they die when they hit the Allegheny plateau. Lots of nickel and dime events

  13. Clinging to my 300' ASL. I did great in the two january storms so hoping for another heat-island win here.
  14. Same here. Where are you in SS? I'm in 20910 east of downtown
  15. ^^^^^ this times 10,000. Every winter is unique. Pattern analogues, nino, qbo, epo, pna, nao, etc, help us guess. But they don't predict!
  16. Most densely populated part of the metro area jackpot again?? Snow Town
  17. Putting my 1,000th post in this thread for obvious reasons. It's snain season inside the beltway.
  18. Look at how heavy that subtropical juice is coming in: https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=nrnmidat-02-24-1 If only it were 5 degrees colder
  19. I think the big threat, if we still have it, is not until after this weekend. And it's still there, it hasn't evaporated. Patience required. And with short run modeling being haywire this year, maybe we can get a quick win (win = seeing snowflakes) in the meantime.
