    The pressure is on Montgomery County, Maryland. The superintendent sent an apology email earlier this week after the 2-hour delay for rain on Tuesday.

    Do I have a high enough post count yet to say that I like the way the 500mb charts look on various ensembles for the 10th-13th period? Or do I still have no idea what I'm doing? That period looks like it could make frozen precip happen and I like how it aligns with being in the blue on the CPC 8-14 temp charts.

    Every year I think that someone should do a running tally of the "total digital snow expected next 120 hours" and put it on a spreadsheet. Start on 12/1/25, then add a new row on 12/5/25, etc

    My driveway runs adjacent to my house, facing due east. Creates a bit of a wind tunnel with my neighbors garage. In the winter and fall, leaf piles and snow drifts end up in the same place: along but a few feet away from where the wall meets the driveway.

    I was just in Minneapolis for a couple days. To my surprise, the leaf color there in the inner suburbs was quite similar to how it is here, currently. Maybe a couple days to a week ahead. I had never been there this time of year before so I figured they'd already be past peak due to the higher latitude/cooler climate.

    Agreed on the mild. I just want some rain. Last october was dry and gorgeous IIRC. And good to know about that correlation!
