  1. The threat to watch out for is around Feb 13-15. @Wentzadelphia, take a look at the Para-GFS. It tries to pull a 96' with the vortex escaping into the 50/50 region, and a PNA spike bringing down another piece of energy that closes off in the center of the country. The only problem with this 12z run was it amps up way too early. Regardless, I'm on board with your February 10-17 call. It'll likely be centered around the 14th or 15th..
  2. Anytime you get over 18" you'll start mixing reports of people who use the "clean-the-board" method and those who just measure directly on the ground. That can inflate or deflate totals substantially, especially places like KABE where it was over 2 feet. Either way, 26" was the final here. 39" on the season
  3. I am 100% on page with you on this overall progression. The Jan 2-4 1996 storm was an inland storm because the vortex was a bit further north than the Euro currently has it for this weekend storm. But regardless, you relax the block, allow the vortex to slip east into the 50/50 region, and you have another shot for something to roll under. I don't think the vortex moves out as quickly as 96' did. But the Feb 12-17 period certainly has potential. Beforehand, we can still cash in on some waves to roll under, most likely suppressed, with the vortex pushing into the US.
  4. Yes, but the EPS agrees with the OP as of now
  5. All depends on the placement of the PV in Canada. Too far east and it squashes heights on the EC. Too far west and you risk it running up too far inland.
  6. Don't look at the 12z Euro if you're kinda tired with snow (like me)
  7. KABE had 27" as of 1am, still light snow falling there. 2nd all time passing the Blizzard of 1996. WOW
  8. And just to be clear, total snow depth (me sticking a yard stick in the ground) comes out to 24". But with the clearing board method and all, we get those extra 2"
  9. Another 2.5" fell overnight, still light snow falling. 26" storm total thus far.
  10. 1.5" the past hour, radar is waning a bit though and snow is coming down just a bit lighter. 23.5" storm total at 10pm. Last report of the night, goodnight everyone and what a storm...
  11. Well most of us are already above average for the year now, I guess everything else is gravy
  12. Another 2" in the past hour since last measurement. Now up to 20"
  13. There it is, KABE area up nearing 23". All they need is to beat 25.2 to place this 3rd all time. Beat 26" and they are 2nd all time.
  14. I would be utterly shocked if Allentown isn't at least up to 22-24" as of now. I'm probably nearing 20 here.
  15. What are you at? Allentown is gonna at least break into the top 5 for greatest snowstorms of all time. Heck, they need over 26" to surpass Blizzard of 96 and 32" to surpass Blizzard of 2016. This is an all time great.
  16. Another hour has passed... and another 1.5". Storm total now up to 18". Still mod-heavy snow.
  17. Over 2" the past hour. Radar returns have been waning but rates picked up. Now up to 16.5"
  18. Yes, counting yesterday and the 0.75" of pure sleet I cleared off the board this morning before we went back to snow. Still coming down hard here, hoping to reach 18
  19. 1.5" the past hour. It's been consistent mod-heavy snow all afternoon. Now up to 14"
  20. He's not, his map is overall storm totals (he might be wrong in some places). The map saying "2nd part" is just referring to the coastal side of this storm, the "1st part" was the WAA overrunning. At least, that's what makes the most logical sense lol
