  1. Thats right, I remember these can happen in the middle of summer too.
  2. but why is it so awful today? Surely this cant count as one of those warm se ridge days- I see an ULL is once again messing up our weather
  3. Yeah how does this happen in October lol
  4. the world is also flooding out, all these high humidity rainy days suck, especially the ones when it only rains just a little and it's misty which is what really sets off my allergies
  5. I'm going to take Benadryl it's between that or repeatedly punching my nose until I pass out. Welp, I pass out either way lol
  6. I thought it was just because it's when we've had some of our longest periods of clear skies. I went through my photo collection and my best astro pictures were taken in October. I thought it's because the nice fall cold fronts come through and clear us out and give us nice low humidity weather.
  7. or they go warm for places where it will snow 100 inches a year regardless
  8. hopefully that comes here, when it rains hard I notice my allergies go away, it's this misty yucky humid air without heavy rain that makes it bad
  9. No idea there wasn't even any sunshine. I had the AC on here yesterday too when we were in the 80s (80 outside) and my house was up around 88 degrees inside. I just checked the outside temp and it's 70 right now.
  10. dont care about the outside- it's 83.4 in my house and you can bet I wont open the windows to let this cesspool polluted humid air inside
  11. I turned on the a/c to get rid of the humidity and the allergens. Come up with a plan to nuke all back door fronts and I'll back you financially
  12. my house temp was 83.4 this afternoon the a/c needed to be turned on. No way no how would I -EVER- open the windows the allergens are awful and humidity is my mortal enemy. If I could invent an antimatter bomb to annihilate all humidity I would do so in a heartbeat.
  13. You're not supposed to have this in October, October is historically the sunniest month of the year. This is a spring time pattern (or November pattern)
  14. the allergies are horrendous so I turned my a/c on full blast I hate humidity, this is the first climate engineering humanity needs to do, get the humid air the hell out of here
  15. I turned on the a/c today not because it was hot or anything but the allergens were HORRIBLE today it always happens to me when it's cloudy and humid and dreary like this and turning the a/c on is the only thing that helps
  16. the reason I like this weather is I dont have to turn my heat on.
  17. it is but we were right around 80 here yesterday too
  18. fine by me, I dont want to turn any heat on until november
  19. I dont see how an easterly wind is going to make us all that cold at all, the water temp is still in the 70s
  20. Massive oil spill sends crude onto Orange County beaches, killing birds, marine life The leak, which officials say began Saturday, has poured 126,000 gallons into the coastal waters. At sunrise Sunday, oil was on the sand in some parts of Huntington Beach with slicks visible in the ocean as well prompting officials to close a stretch of sand from the pier to the Newport Beach city line. Dead birds and fish had begun to wash up on the shore, officials said. https://twitter.com/i/events/1444691884513710083 https://twitter.com/i/events/1444710921109217284
  21. anyone thinking next week is going to somehow be cool is sorely mistaken
  22. uhm it feels like summer right now and this is awesome, I can do without the 60s thats too cold for me, around 75 during the day and 60 at night is perfect and thats what we will have.
  23. albedo is 0.5% less which is pretty shocking. we need geoengineering like yesterday, unless we proactively alter our planet's climate system no passive behavior will ever be enough. It might get to the point where we need to start thinking of dusting up the atmosphere ourselves.
