SSW is the biggest single event that can change a pattern, there's usually a 2-4 week delay between the event and the change, right Chris? -
Maybe there's some small hail? I heard something that sounded like sleet but can't be sleet at these temps

Yeah but wasn't that all from one storm? We had the same thing in Jan 2011 but I believe both Dec 2003 and Jan 2011 were from one storm with a lull in between A 12 or 24 hr gap sounds like two different storms. That's why I brought up Feb 1994 that was two different storms. -
too bad we dont get this kind of consistency with snow storms lol

sounds like we had some pretty interesting storms back then, two significant storms 12 hours apart aren't something I've experienced before (the closest was in Feb 1994 when they were about a day apart.) -
Thanks! I heard it's been raining there most of the day! how are your winds?

Isn't there some way for them to fix this? Like using other radars to compensate and shutting the bad one down?

Yeah and there's no reason it would be like that over one area for hours on end.

Could you imagine being at the beach for the Boxing Day Blizzard? You'd be getting both sand blasted AND snow blasted! I think that was the highest winds we've experienced in a pure snowstorm?
