  1. Continuing to really come down here and radar continues to fill in. Not going to underperform here today. Mesoscale models doing poorly so far with coverage of rain. NAM basically had nothing more than a few hours of poorly organized convection.
  2. Already picked up quite a bit of rain here with training showers.
  3. The ground is somewhat saturated and a few of the hydrographs are predicting minor river flooding with 2-3” of rain. Think for the most part though that river flood risk is low outside of freak training over susceptible areas.
  4. You know it’s a shit weather day when even the convection in South Florida is dying out. Right now best looking thunderstorm in the country is a small cell which popped up East of Daytona and headed OTS.
  5. Been a steady light to at times moderate rain here today despite relatively scattered look on radar.
  6. Think the steady rain comes in about 6 hours tomorrow afternoon. Could be locally heavy.
  7. Apologize if this was already posted.
  8. @Allsnow No wind out on Long Island? 204058FISHERS ISLAND AIRPORTSUFFOLKNY41257203(OKX)
  9. I believe you, I just don't remember it that way. I recall hot stretches but not your classic wall to wall hot and dry Summers like in the past. Summer of 1999 comes to mind.
  10. Had a nice squall just come through with a huge gust of wind and decent downpour. Temperature rebounded some to 52 degrees. @Allsnow not bad for my second round.
  11. What is your location? Don't remember it being like that out here.
  12. If I recall last Summer was on the cool side. Wouldn't mind a hot and relatively dry Summer if we're ever allowed to leave our houses again. Would make for some great beach/shore vacation weather.
  13. Expect quite a lot of rain for Saturday into Sunday with this trough setup on the Euro. Looks like a cutoff with redeveloping surface low.
  14. The wind has really picked up here in the last ten minutes. Also the temperature has dropped down to 45 degrees after a high of 61.
  15. Been lucky enough to see hail four or five times. The first time was in Delaware in the parking lot of a Sonic. Twice we had hail at my parents house in Pompton Plains and we've had it twice in Mahwah since I moved here almost four years ago. Largest hail I've ever had someone I know witness in this area which was golf ball sized which occurred in Butler, NJ almost ten years ago. And then we had this freak storm from 2011 which brought baseball sized hail to parts of Queens and LI. https://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/08/01/baseball-sized-hail-damages-cars-in-queens-and-long-island/
  16. Relax cowboy, the line is still intensifying as it moves East. Long way to go before it clears Long Island.
  17. Fordham had a wind gust to 71MPH as the line went through. Stop posting.
  18. Much better than your boring line of "showers"
  19. It had the right location for storms blowing up but it was too far North with the strongest activity.
  20. Long Island is going to get smoked. Congrats. Who would have thought that on April 21st that was the place to be for severe.
  21. Because the storm moved out of the warming area?
  22. How's that working out for ya?
