  1. Another band reloading along the Berks/Lancaster County border headed SW. . .
  2. Damn, northern Frederick County *has* to be getting some terrain enhancement.
  3. M0.5" new snow on the snowboard in Reisterstown since 1:30 pm.
  4. Yellow starting to show up near Conowingo and pushing SW. . . . .
  5. Probably going to be a couple 18"+ reports out of the Catoctins and 12"+ out of the upper portions of Frederick, Carroll, Baltimore, and Harford counties.
  6. As the coastal finally strengthens it's grip and torques around, better snow rates should nudge south of I-70 in Maryland this afternoon. I know it's excruciating for a lot of folks, but patience is the only thing I can recommend.
  7. Latest SPC meso analysis page showing increasing lift into the dendritic growth layer. Yum.
  8. Lancaster, PA (LNS) just guested to 27 mph. There's the winds that were mentioned in the updated warning coming down.
  9. Without a doubt the best rates of the storm in Reisterstown. Flake size also increased.
  10. LWX extends Winter Storm Warning until 09:00 am 2/2/21 for Mason-Dixon Counties. Additional 2-4" w/ wind gusts to 35 mph.

  17. Officially light snow in Reisterstown. Poked my head outside and it's pillars and plates. 28/24
  18. Finally have sustained snowflakes starting to mix in down in Reisterstown.
  19. Per SPC meso analysis, the 700 mb low just popped off the Delaware coast.
  20. Might be some terrain enhancement, but I could see some 12"+ amounts from northern Frederick County, especially around the Catoctins when this is all over. Radar really lighting up there.
