  1. Still don't think we've gone more than a month since October without a high over 80. At this rate summer will be absolutely brutal
  2. More cold but not cold enough precip in store for next week. Looking like the 2nd February in a row with above average precip with no eintry weather to show for it
  3. Oh my God it's sleeting in far north dallas! At a decent clip too! EDIT: Well that was a fun 30 seconds
  4. Looking like even more of a bust than expected here in south Ft. Worth. Not a lick of cold rain, much less sleet/snow
  5. NWS moved things a smidge SE. Not enough to matter for Dallas but it's something
  6. Can't believe a DFW winter event fell apart within 24 hours of when it was supoosed to occur and we'll be left with 33 degree cold rain. Who could have seen that coming? Just bring on spring already and put this winter out of its misery
  7. Latest AFD mentions that the Tarrant/Denton county lines will likely be the dividing one between wintry precip and cold rain. Local forecast has had temps shited up 4-5 degrees. Can't catch a break
  8. Models don't seem to keen on anything making it into the metroplex EDIT: Winter storm watch expanded westward, includes Tarrant and Denton counties
  9. NWS hourly for my area seems bullish with a significant chance of accumulating snow and sleet. Hard not to get my hopes up
  10. Oh warm air aloft is part of what I was referencing. Have had so, so many setups get killed by it these past few years
  11. Surely this time it won't be warmer than predicted. Like for once it has to be accurate or maybe colder right?
  12. It's maps like this that make me think whoever controls the weather is messing with DFW specifically
  13. Someone in the other thread mentioned a NW shift with the GFS. Seems to be a trend with the increased cold/moisture. Wouldn't get hopes up quite yet (though will agree this is the most interesting setup in years)
  14. Might hit 80 tomorrow and then snow Wednesday. Peak Dallas weather. On a related note, NWS shifted precip southeast but I'm trying not to get my hopes up lol
  15. 39 degrees and raining is so on brand for DFW the last 5 years. Quickly running out of time for a more meaningful snow event
  16. Well at least it has been cold here! Was worried that we'd be hot all through next October for a brief moment
  17. Ended up breaking that recore with an official high of 81. Last 80 or above day was November 19th so we didn't even go two months before we ended up back in what's normally May/June weather. Hopefully not a preview of things to come for summer
