Bel Air 15 minutes away had 3". A little bit of elevation made a big difference! That was the storm where the sky lit up 20+ times with green lightning flashes.

Amen as to the early to mid 70's. My high school years of 72/73-75/76 were horrendous. Fortunately, redemption came the next 4 years in college, though 76/77 was not snowy, only historic for the cold.

Wow the endless heat that began in April 1991 was still ongoing a rare four station sweep with even JFK reaching 90 on this date in 1991. Meh one snowstorm is enough. I'm not a fan of shoveling snow. Hopefully it melts a few days after that just like what happened in 2016. That's what I loved about that winter. The same thing happened in 1983. Lol a different world there, it only got to 72 here. If SST were that warm it wouldn't be very cool on an easterly flow. I can't wait until we actually have a warm ocean with temperatures in the 80s. Only for one season. I can't wait for the Revenge La Nina that will last for four years after this with very hot and dry summers! No more el ninos for the rest of the decade! Good riddance!
