Haven't hit 90 here since July 17th. With certainly none happening this August and unless September is different based on a video BAM posted back on Monday (see 10:15 in this video), it would be one of the earliest last 90-degree days in decades (Record: 7/8/1971)!

Nope--and at this point in a season, if a team hasn't moved past it (like Boston did last month) they probably won't. It's been at least 10 opportunities we've had to move past it and everything something dumb happens, lol Just not meant to be...but I'm hoping it'll be worth it if another losing record compels ownership to do the thing a la Biscotti with Harbaugh last year (all that crap is looking like it was worth it!) Rubinstein already said he's embarrassed by where we were at the trade deadline...maybe finishing below .500 could be the straw.

Picked up 0.00" with today's wave. A little precip possible on Fri, but looks pretty dry overall the next week or so.

Lala putting on a SHOW! -
Classic. Couldn't hit with RISP again. Two times with bases full or 2-on, no one out....scored zero runs. We will look back on this season and see all the missed opportunities. Cano blowing yesterday was brutal. I would put it as the worst loss of the season.

Huh? pretty sure I said “on a personal note” of course it supports a point of view then, it’s called an op ed for a reason Don’t pin “tendency” on me though Like it’s some sort of general tact? I’m on the short list of most objective contributors. During analysis is a different written effort; I don’t play favorites between cold versus hot versus wet versus dry versus storm or no storm -

We’re very lucky to not have to worry about black widows and brown recluses around here. Once in a blue moon someone will claim to see a widow in MA but that’s gotta be a rarity. I saw a baby funnel web up close in a garage in Canberra, Australia many years ago..Didn’t know at the time and luckily they aren’t aggressive -

2026-2027 Record-breaking El Nino

As long as it's in the winter. I like my summers hot and dry to keep the mosquitoes away and to get a good view of the Perseids. This is the 40th anniversary of the first time I saw them, 4 nights in August 1986 and that was a whole week of nice clear early Fall kind of weather no haze and temperatures in the low 50s. No mosquitoes either!. -
I distinctly remember August 1986 as a very cool and dry month like early fall. I dont mind a cool summer as long as it's dry. Was that a developing El Nino too? That was my first year of viewing the Perseids and the best weather for them four nights of completely clear skies, cool, no haze and no mosquitoes! Never saw anything like that since. This house in the Poconos was built in 1986 and I was here in July for the 4th but for the Perseids in August I was back on Long Island.

It’s got a dog in its mouth. I’d give it a wide birth. -
