I'd still not give up on this NYC east...I don't think NYC is getting 8 inches but would I be shocked if they got 3 and Montauk got 12? No. Most storms in 2026 at this range I'd feel good about not seeing major changes at this range but this setup to me has too many moving parts. I could even see places like SE VA/SE MASS having massive changes still....I'd not feel good in either of those places.

I think this sub-sub-forum is genius TBH. I would actually love a Raleigh-Richmond one. Im tired of going back and forth. I mean having Miami or even Atlanta, Ga and Nashville with Raleigh is kind of mind-binding.

I judt think Hampton Roads need to share the snow with Richmond. Tell you what. Everyone in Richmond and surrounding counties get vacuums out pulling toward us and everyone in Hampton Roads get leaf blowers to push some moisture toward Richmond

Twenty three years in Eastern N.C. (am a central Md. native,) and have yet to break the 4" barrier with snow. Either I've cursed the places I've lived in here (ILM/PGV) or it's awfully damned hard to get a decent snow in Eastern, N.C. BTW, what's the blue hand palm in your profile image? It seems to be popping up here and there lately and I've no clue what it is.

Fits all the guidance except maybe the low's proximity to land off the OBX

I still think about 2 is the best metro Atlanta or W sides of the metro can do. Will have to watch for a band of heavier snow on the NW edge of the precip shield with this...happens often in these setups and the only model that may see it is the NAM/RRFS in the final 24-30 hours.
