  1. Past hour
  2. If this busts it's really gonna hurt, and I'm guessing there's 0 chance for the models to do a 180 on the Imelda walk backs?
  3. Need as much rain from this event as possible because that’s one helluva block setting up afterwards. Those tropical systems have no chance here with that monster moving in. Looks like an extended period of nice weather coming up.
  4. It's amazing how much Imelda's rain for the MA is following the same rug pull pattern as the Feb. 19-20 incident...
  5. The stadium effect is incredible. Looks like a West Pac super Typhoon.
  6. Starting to see some strong cold fronts coming into the lower 48 especially on the Euro.
  7. Not sure it's a tropical cyclone anymore lol. Where did the center go?
  8. The problem with trying to predict weather related catastrophes, is that it is continually being done. This gives fuel to the opposition and make the global temperature side look foolish.
  9. My God. That’s as good as it gets structurally.
  10. When are we going to get a wet pattern? Every time one gets advertised the rug gets pulled at the last minute...
  11. About as impressive as you’ll ever see in the Atlantic basin.
  12. You’d be hard pressed to find many Atlantic hurricanes with a better satellite appearance than this. I’d be shocked if this wasn’t a 5 at 5pm.
  13. WB 12Z EPS. Another dry two weeks as it looks like tropical moisture is blocked from coming north. Cool shot coming late week otherwise mild overall.
  14. Im totally trolling when I say OTS. What I will say is we've seen tropical systems have a mind of their own and drift further west than guidance. I wouldn't take any model verbatim.
  15. I've made those my Christmas trees the past few years. Love them.
  16. The dense tree growth is keeping the under 100° days record going at 4818. 17. Missing dates. I have redone the file. I had forgotten to exclude months with missing days.
  18. Probably. There are also meat substitutes and lab grown meat is becoming more prevalent. This will be a great boon to the environment because animal farming wastes a lot of land, water and other resources as well as high methane emissions. This is where I'm at, I love the taste of meat so either meat substitutes or lab grown meat are good by me. Animal experimentation is also being replaced by lab grown organs and 3D printing of organs, which are not only less expensive to house and more efficient but also much more accurate than animal testing. I see this greatly helping out the organ donor program too. Technology moves us forward as always.
  19. I agree about foie gras. But it's not natural to be a vegan. The only reason you're able to be a vegan and not be very sick or dead is because of modern civilization.
  20. Even the airport! NYC is the last remaining holdout then, everyone else from DC to Boston has hit 100 this year.
  21. September yes, but we used to turn on the heat in early October going back to the 80s. None of those winters were snowy but the cold always came in early. Our benchmark was the first time the low goes below 40 we turned on the heat.
  22. Beaut of a day in the North End of Boston.
  23. it's also why mass migrations happen, especially if it's connected to famine and starvation.
  24. It never gets cold enough in September and October to be worried about heating bills. Only the tail end of October can get chilly and still not enough to break the bank on heating. A "cold" September is basically highs of 70 and lows of 50. That's the temp zone where you use the least amount of energy.
