E PA/NJ/DE Spring 2026 Obs/Discussion
ChescoWx replied to PhiEaglesfan712's topic in Philadelphia Region
Some typical March weather ahead as we see consistent swings from cold to warmer to cold again for much of the rest of the month. We remain below normal today before warming up to above normal tomorrow through the weekend. WE then turn back to below normal to start the new work week. Our next rain chances arrive tomorrow night into Saturday morning and again Sunday night into Monday morning. -
I mean maybe it’s not sunny and 80, but Saturday looked ok and Sunday looked at least 60-65 SoP. Sunday has danger of being crappy but that’s how it looks.
-
Cuz it changes every few hrs with the next cycle of the GFS.
-
Please let it be 65-70. Not 80+ Leave that shit for May
-
Ooh, I didn't check the EPS ... Hopefully, they're right
-
Why do you think that is?
-
was cold out today i felt a chill in my bones..
-
lol…
-
We had guys saying yesterday that the Euro looked good for the weekend..mild. Guess that shit the bed. ?
-
What are you smoking dude
-
Saturday should be dry and ranging from upper 40's to 50's
-
Clearing to the south, but the blue ridge has different plans. Central VA might be an underrated place to live. They’re far enough south and east to be significantly less impacted by the clouds produced by the Great Lakes and Appalachian’s, but far enough north to get snow every now and then.
-
Spring isn’t usually bad here. The ocean affect garbage is oversold once you are 10 miles inland. But it looks cloudy and raw with some rain Saturday. Not sure how that’s good lol
-
You are correct. I remember that winter because i started my current job that winter. Very cold March due to storms getting suppressed and hitting the Mid Atlantic.
-
What kind of bike do you have? Got a trek fx 2 recently and it def beats my Roscoe on pavement. Could use a slightly lower gear ratio for some of the more punchy climbs, though.
-
Some were saying yesterday it was looking good…WOR is usually nicer than out your way in early spring…so hoping for that.
-
This weekend looks miserable. Typical March
-
Coastal waters here are still in the upper 30s. Any onshore wind and the warmup crashes to an end.
-
Let’s get some Spring like weather…doesn’t have to be 75-80, just 60’s with sun and light winds is beautiful.
-
Even here it's amazing from one side of the town to the next. I'm on the north side so it can be 70 here-you drive 4 miles down to the beach and it's 52-55.
-
March 2014 was very cold but bone dry...this march is nothing like that.
-
EPS is what I was referring to.
-
1958 was the only one of those analogs that really made sense. That was a strong el nino and a wall-to-wall snowy winter, which had a previous KU (in February). The 3/30/2010 rainstorm turned to snow in Northeast PA. (I was able to see snow on the grass on parts of the PA Turnpike on 3/31/2010, when I picked up my sister from Scranton for Easter weekend.) By the end of that weekend, it legit felt like summer.
-
Time to root for nice weather bud…doesn’t have to be hot..just nice. 60’s and dry is perfect. I know it’s boring..but it’s enjoyable nonetheless. You can root for a cane late summer, early autumn to break up the monotony. But let’s put winter to bed now in SNE.
