  1. Past hour
  2. Looks like maybe 3 boundaries converging in Carroll and Frederick counties
  3. I have the realization that more than likely the only way I'm going to hit normal rainfall this year if others experience severe flooding so my new goal is 80% normal rainfall. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
  4. So you lived in Long Beach in 1976-77 and 1977-78? You saw the epic February 1978 blizzard there then! I always thought the 14" JFK reported was way too low-- it was probably too hard to measure snow accurately with so much wind! Were the waterways around Long Beach completely frozen in 1976-77? It must have been a shock to the system when JFK recorded their earliest ever 90 degree day in April 1977!!
  5. Glad this isnt winter and could have been snow.....would have been tough, lol
  6. Yes, 2010 was the only summer I have seen that JFK had 30+ 90 degree days 10+ 95 degree days and 3+ 100 degree days. NYC did it in 1993 too. Those were my two favorite summers.
  7. Yup, looks like we are going to be skunked around here. Im sure we will get some as the boundary drapes southward later on, but any convection is pretty much done for around here. Temps are dropping steadily over the past couple hours and the air has lost that muggy feel.
  8. Why do people need to be told this 10000 times? It is as bad as... drink plenty of water when it is hot and take frequent breaks. Don't over exert yourself when shoveling snow and use your knees, not your back. Don't stand outside when you hear thunder/lightning. etc. We really do live in a world of stupid people.
  9. Too bad we didn’t have the forum back in 1976. Can you imagine what the speculation of what the winter would have been like after the record cold in late August? It would have also been great to have social media with everyone posting photos. The amount of ice on the local waterways by late January 1977 was epic. But there aren’t that many photos still available. All I remember from that winter was how cold it was in the mornings waiting at the bus stop. 10. I feel bad for those people that live near those highways. There's also a strong link between children who grow up near highways and autism. It's probably the strongest environmental link there is.
  11. Not one drop where I am. And of course. HRRR pretty much has this spotty stuff here where one place gets 3” and a mile away 3 drops. South Jersey Alley gets crushed again as the storm activity over NJ consolidates there.
  12. lol it was a sauna here this morning as hot as it was yesterday, but after 1 pm the temperature suddenly dropped from 93 at 1:10 pm to 86 at 1:30 pm and now I hear thunder and it looks like it's raining at Yankee Stadium??
  13. The reason I said mountaintop is because I've been in the Poconos during the summer and it does get into the 30s there a few nights every summer and it's quite refreshing. I've never seen it happen in July though, it's happened in the first half of June and the last half of August a bunch of times.
  14. It's incredible how much it rains in southern MoCo. Numerous areas there have 8-10.5" for the month and are getting trained again today while nothing here in the desert just 10-20 miles away.
  15. Flood watch to Stein here. Missed lots of rain by a mile both morning and afternoon. Look at that 7/10 split
  16. In annapolis thunder and lightning big time rout 50 train setting up?
