  1. Past hour
  2. I like fire flies. Saw some a few nights ago. Reminds me of childhood trying to catch them. Install your ACs!
  3. amarshal is a one in a 999 decillion to the 899quadrillionth power Poster up in the New England Sub. Check out this gem https://www.americanwx.com/bb/topic/60970-2024-2025-ski-season-thread/?do=findComment&comment=7670618 I copied his post on my brand new phpBB3 forum, ScienceWeather 2, and took at least fifteen screenshots. IPB forums are gonna increase to 99 dollars a MONTH. I can't pay it. I gotta evacuate 20 years of memories from Science Weather 1 or lose them FOREVER! IPB creators have yachts in the Med that we all need to pay for. That's the reason for the abrupt increase in Invision Power Board forums.
  4. So far only light shower or not reaching the ground into the HV/NNJ
  5. Fireflies are wonderful tonight
  6. cvg record high for jun 23/24 is 94, which i'm fairly certain will get broken, probably for both days.
  7. That's gonnabe important because this is going to be a massively EPIC winter for snow and Little Ice Age magnitude cold, all up and down the Eastern and Northeastern Coasts. You'll be tracking the models right alongside us plus going to school and working.
  8. well, some have said that nuclear testing led to some of those extreme heatwaves in the 40s and 50s (1944, 1948, 1949, 1953, 1955)..... there's no real proof of that though and if that's true, what led to the extreme heat in 1966? A drier climate is the likely cause for all of these.
  9. The upper levels are wild. Were today’s dj will be through Tuesday. Nothing should get pushed but if so isolated damaging wind is likely. That derecho out in ND had 105 mph straight line winds. That’s partially over us.
  10. Look at those low temps on those charts wow Give me the occasional major heatwave if I can have those lows back please!
  11. 78/67, a perfect summer evening, slipping (sipping) into twilight
  12. Today
  13. A derecho and WW3 on the same day. What are the odds?
  14. Thanks this is some way to begin their period of record (which began in late July.)
  15. Back at dock, made another T&T. Son will be home from work shortly, he might start the fire pit
  16. Newark wow, 5 days out of 6 of 100 or above and an all time September record of 105....... Sundog would not be pleased lol.
  17. I was crawling around staining a deck in Ellicott City. It was brutal at times. It was 92 from Ellicott City to Crofton at about 1500.
  18. some very dry years back then especially 1953 and 1966 (maybe 1944 and 1948 and 1949 and 1955 also?)
  19. Only battle in VT! I was right over at Otter Creek Gorge today, more impressive than I thought it would be! And grabbed this little guy in a nearby creek on the fly.
