  1. Past hour
  2. Don't waste your time. With YouTube at least they aren't all bad, still lots to weed out but it IS easier to find some at least decent individuals. Works for Ryan...
  3. Meso low south of LI. Best winds east of that.
  4. Yea, I think the rest of 2025 and for the most part, the first half of January are mild, and hostile to major east coast snow. Maybe the NE sneaks in some SWFE's/overrunning.
  5. I used to but unless you’re always cold and snow nobody pays attention. Look at all the crap Fisher gets lol.
  6. I get the argument against persistence forecasting, but independent of that, I have explained in great detail why I expected December to warm up.
  7. all this rain is welcomed it will get rid of all that nasty sidewalk and road salt that messes with your shoes and clothes..
  8. Twitter is pretty useless for weather. I was thinking about posting on there this winter but not sure I’m going to. Lots of hype. You’ll get that anywhere on social media but it’s especially pervasive where people scroll quickly and you want clicks.
  9. We can’t have nice things. Approaching 1.10”. Already reached my high of the day at 57F, now down to 53F. Snowpack wiped out!
  10. Stay safe everyone, just saw a twig fall from 25 mph gusts
  11. Over 0.50" of rain has already fallen here in East Nantmeal with as much as another 0.50" possible for some areas. We have already reached out high for the day of 56.6 just before 6am. Temperatures have fallen over 6 degrees since then and will continue to fall into the 30's by 4pm and freezing by 6pm. Lows tonight will fall to near 20 degrees and highs tomorrow only in the mid-30's. Temperatures will be near normal in the low 40's pm Sunday before falling back to below normal levels through Christmas Eve day. There is a chance of some snow by Tuesday morning that could be mixed with rain further south across the area.
  12. Rolling with the worst case scenario for snow has been solid forecasting for some time now. Damn.

  14. I mean your forecast looks very good so far. Mid-January aside, the twitter fantasy that this is a carbon copy of last year at this time and that we are about to go right back into an exact replica of the start of January last year, is completely absurd
  15. On twitter, near zero chance. The place is all garbage now. Try YouTube. There are a couple decent guys amongst many, many weenies. It's really easy to pick them judge them in the first couple minutes if you have some weather knowledge
  16. Seems to be a little uncertainty on how this weather pattern will evolve the next 2 weeks.
  17. Well, there was reason to doubt that cold guidance for latter December....not to mention we have become conditioned to expect the less appealing outcomes over the course of the past 7 years.
  18. We'll see what happens. I still think we go +TNH in mid January, but I am admittedly less confident on that than I was the mid December flip to warmer.
  19. Winds really picking up now. Couple gusts near or even over 40 in this rain
  20. 54/51 here. one little sad pile in the backyard remaining
  21. Central Park received 0.44" of rain in the past hour. That breaks the highest hourly figure for December 19th. The old record was 0.32" from 1934.
  22. I will say high tide is at 10 am and the tides are rising so fast since 7 am with a more south west wind versus traditional south east winds were used to out here. Marshes are looking mighty high
