Jackson holiday is a big disappointment as well. Let's see what happens though in the next year or two. You never know but I suspect he's going to be a journeyman
-
Imo, not until Elias is gone. I wish that could be now, but ofc it won't be. So he will likely make some moves at the deadline that will further set this team back in an attempt save his skin, then get canned after the season.

100% AGREE with everything you said. They will not trade Alonso. At least not this year. Maybe next year if they can dump part of his salary but they're going to have to pay some of it too. The problem is the core players that came out of Norfolk probably overachieved for a while and gave a false sense of hope for the future. Gunner needs a change of venue. Cowser is just average at best. Westberg probably is going to struggle to get on the field. Adley will probably just be a mediocre ball player. They have no pitching. And fundamentals are terrible. Manager Choice was very suspect. Elias is probably gone in the offseason.

Fireworks Heat Contest W 7/1 - S 7/4 for Five MA Airports

And RIC Salisbury and Richmond are killers so far. That'll probably change, but Salisbury's farmland tends to keep temps muted (I think), while their dews can be excessive. -

Check me, but I think the high temperatures for Wednesday were: DCA 98, BWI 97, IAD 97, SBY 90, RIC 93. If I am correct, then here are the current standings after day one of four. DCA BWI IAD SBY -
Maybe. We’ll see

Fair play, but are the Orioles capable of doing anything positive?

Not very green. What ever happened to "tree-hugging?" LOL. Seriously, just b/c something is/may be popular, does not mean it is right or the best solution. You can't praise being green when you clear-cut trees on a large scale, as one example. Solar relies *only* on the virtue that sunlight is limitless and free, and treats that in a vacuum. It ignores the issues that do not make it effective alternative energy source for mass consumption (to say the least), like the enormous land required and how it destroys the ecology of that land, the amount of raw material needed, including precious metal demand that results in more strip mining, the limited lifespan (~25 years), the solar panel's vulnerability to the elements/wx, their disposal costs, and the simple fact the sun does not shine all the time. Every link the chain has to work effectively and practically for something to be affordable and reliable for a main energy source. This is a fact. "But it is CO2 free!" Yes, it is, but that single item does not make better overall when all things are considered. Everything has a cost/benefit ratio.

Friday will roast
-
even DCA will get 78-79 a few times each summer. 80 once in a blue moon.
-
it is pretty gross out.
-
yeah once the bay water temp approaches 90F, we have some Gulf Coast-like micro-climates around here.

Meet tonight was rough. Had a fan, mister, and cooler to keep it tolerable. Despite drinking plenty of fluids still got a nasty headache to deal with for hours after. Morning practice is looking good be annoying with such high dew points and my costume of George Washington to get kids excited for our A-meet Friday.
