Last post got me to thinking, how long have we been at this? At least 20 years. 2006 was the only time I ever met Kevin and Tip. It was in Brookline at a national weather service conference on the 2005 thunder snow. I remember having to leave early to go to one of my daughter's games. I actually shared a computer with Kevin and no punches were exchanged. Time passes quickly...

The rain appears to have missed the Bronx entirely, as the Yankee v Boston game continued with no signs of rain. I am hoping we break out of this pattern of rain on the weekends, especially during daylight hours, so I can take advantage of the pool in my community development. Plus warm sunny days will help heat up the pool, as it is not heated.

E PA/NJ/DE Summer 2025 Obs/Discussion
RedSky replied to Hurricane Agnes's topic in Philadelphia Region
How did the Phillies go from the 2nd best record to possibly the worst looking club in baseball in two weeks I doubt they could beat a boomer softball team now -
We got some clearing but all that did was cause low level ground fog from the earlier rain. So we lost the clouds overhead and replaced them with ones in the bottom 30 feet.

I'm sure the girls must have been excited. BC is a good neighbor. Used to do a lot for my travel and AAU teams. Did you play on the field behind Alumni near the reservoir ? Do you usually play at Cold springs Park? Played many a game there...

heavy rates, maybe 2 inches per hour?

Yes very heavy rain now. after this ends would be the ideal time to look for a rainbow :-) I saw on WABC there was a brilliant rainbow earlier right over the Hudson River!

Yep, just in time for daughter's softball all-star game too. Thanks to some connections in the league, we played at Boston College and managed to get 2.5 innings in before home plate and the pitching area became a quagmire. (Outfield is turf, so no issues there.) Everyone had fun though and got at least one at-bat, but it would have been nice to be able to finish the game now since the rain has pretty much stopped.

Dumping here.

0.15” from this morning. Dropped the oldest Ms. J off at Dulles for a trip up to Maine. She said it was quite a bumpy takeoff. Just made dinner and stepped out on the deck to see if we were eating out or in. Promptly decided to eat inside tonight.

yea it was heading south toward your area

Just awful. It blows that our summers have turned into rain, smoke, rain, smoke.

Nevermind it's raining here now and windy

I guess it's going to miss me, it got somewhat dark here and I heard thunder but nothing fell.

A whopping .12 today. At least it wasn't in the 40s.
