If this was winter, being a Nina, a good chunk of us would know getting a clean flush phase isnt usually in the cards. Going to be a long winter for ppl that hug the long range stuff. -
Long weekend ruiner for most. It's a complex interaction with the shortwave to the north which is throwing models for these fits, but generally seems to be settling into a nuisance event that hopefully replenishes the water table to some degree. Back bays and NJ coast will see moderate flooding in some places due to the easterly fetch, but beyond that an inch of rain and some gusts to 40 isn't notable at all.

No but it had to be in October. I think the whole fight to turn the heat on for as long as possibly is silly. If someone really wants to save on their hearing costs then turn your heat off for a day during a cold spell...

"Potentially" powerful Nor'easter Sun-Mon 10/12-13/25 with needed rain-especially south of I84, and fairly high impact sct coastal gusts 50+ MPH and possibly moderate or greater coastal flooding at the midday Sun and Monday high tide cycles.

Staten Island half marathon also canceled. The Road Runners Club said they canceled it because they were afraid for the safety of the runners.....- 288 replies

Possibly because of wind being channeled between the systems, pulling water further inland?

I think DSeagull hit the nail on the head, misappropriations of the funds. Where there is money, there is corruption. That's why we need to elect strong leaders, who have the ambition to go after those who are bilking the system.

I'm looking forward to that spectacular sunshine coming back starting Wednesday. I see it's going to be very cool, but my house is like a greenhouse, if there's a lot of sunshine it stays very warm during the day.

I like somewhat dry, it's been way too wet for too way many years. I like around 40 inches of rain (38-42 is okay).
