  1. Past hour
  2. Wife and I had a new 4wd vehicle at the time were doing a weenie tour of damage that next day. I did a drive up Mt. Uncannonuc in Goffstown - it was 32" on the level settled depth at 1250' the next morning. I know Dendy probably knows of the access road and trails Not sure if there were any higher event totals. 21" settled depth in Bedford around 5 miles away but obv. lower.
  3. It actually went noticeably north from yesterday.
  4. Get this all teed up for @bluewaveto compare it to future warmer runs as the ridge trends southward.
  5. Straight up San Diego weather pattern here. Enjoying it before days and days of 50 and rain .
  6. Regardless of the strat, today's weeklies have the first week of December looking exactly like the Euro and all other seasonal modeling for December, which is a good thing.

  8. Are people unable to take their "heads out of their own arse" to blame when our society tells us to enjoy the smell of our shit? I have the upmost respect for you as both a winter weather posters and someone who doesn't back down when some posters poke the climate change conversation. But, anyone on "our" side who sees the conservative base as the enemies are looking through distorted glass as well. To place blame at the feet of those who bought into what our society tells them is taking the easy way out at best and malpractice at worst. We are all trying to make our one go around the sun worth it, nobody believes themselves to be using their one life to hurt others - but when our system is based on ruthless competition and a fight over every resource we all will wind up hurting someone for something we don't need. To reemphasize my point, to do so is not stupidity or a deliberative attempt to hurt one another but to go along with the natural forces that act upon us both sociologically and psychologically. A quote sums up my thoughts perfectly here: "I don't know why you did what you did. But it's hard to be mad when you're just as stuck as I am" My response to the claim of "there are too many stupid people who will always be easy to manipulate by powerful people with nefarious motives" is that we've (the left) won before. All the positive parts of the world we inhabit is because someone, somewhere in the past, cared and burnt their present to create the future we now hold. To reject the notion that change can come is to embrace the same song that those on the right sing, albeit with a different and arguably sadder melody. I don't know what the answer is. Frankly, if I get to live to your age I might agree with you, but I have to believe you are wrong. The most radical thing any person can do is to have empathy for one another, no matter how much "they" fight you. I know what I say is idealistic, that it is an opinion that will get me hurt, one that will leave me disappointed time and time again, and one that may never come true in my lifetime. However, the people believed, perhaps delusionally, that we deserve better than what we are told is possible have won before, and they will win again. Don't surrender to the ease of giving up hope in your fellow humans; that is exactly what those in power want the most.
  9. This what I was getting at with a reflection event being the safer bet....these warmings are feast or famine, whether they result in reversals or not....yet they result in these mass cyber-orgies.
  10. My place had a high of 72, low 47. It's so nice I think that's 15-16 degrees above normal for the high, maybe less above normal for the low of 47. The leaves are still green for several trees. I anticipate there will be a mad rush to pick up leaves when it actually gets cold. I have my window open right now, tonight. It's going to get warmer, up to 76 this week. Crazy! The weather systems are not delivering the cold air. (Toledo had high 74, low 42 at the airport) a couple of pics
  11. Exactly, the PV could end up splitting into Europe and eastern Siberia. And we still have a mega ridge on the east coast. I have seen so much crap on social media especially in the ski industry reposting click bait saying “PV split, here comes the snow” .
  12. I remember people saying we will not get anymore HECS because of the planet warming. Well last year said wait a minute.
  13. Is anyone subscribed to The World Climate Center paywall? I made an inquiry about a trial, but haven't heard back.....I'm looking to access a data set...
  14. Today
  15. First time I saw thunder snow. We were on a generator for 4 days. Local DPW left a giant pile of mess at the end of my driveway because someone had never plowed snow before but i digress.

  18. Since moving here in 2005, far and away most favorite wx event. Only thing that will top it will be a direct strong cane strike up the CTRV or a TOR thru backyard
  19. Thank you for your kind words, ChescoWX. I appreciate them. Have a great evening.
  20. It will turn somewhat cooler with readings in the upper 50s to near 60° for tomorrow and Wednesday before temperatures again warm into the middle and upper 60s for the remainder of the work week. Much of the region could approach or reach 70° on Friday. Unseasonable warmth will continue into the start of November. Dry conditions will likely persist through next week. The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was +5.2°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was +3.4°C for the week centered around October 14. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +5.08°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged +3.22°C. ENSO Region 3.4 breaks the all-time record most recently set in the prior week. The ongoing strong El Niño, will continue to strengthen through the mid-fall. The SOI was +9.35 today. The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was +1.221 today. Based on sensitivity analysis applied to the latest guidance, there is an implied near 97% probability that New York City will have a warmer than normal October (1991-2020 normal). October will likely finish with a mean temperature near 59.5° (1.6° above normal). Supplemental Information: The projected mean would be 2.6° above the 1981-2010 normal monthly value.
