  1. Past hour
  2. That was the running theme during Jan-Feb 2023. Let’s hope this is real transient. Deep western troughs are nightmares for snow and cold over here
  3. Up your way, probably a good bet regardless of which model is more correct.
  4. Feel honored to be in the year's first mesoscale discussion.
  5. This will be two nights in a row of a “heavy coating” (.25” range)
  6. Sorta, 2.27", with 0.63" of that falling on the last day of the month. 4.5" of snow, but boy was it cold! Especially on 1/21, -19 that morning, a -4.2 for the month.
  7. I'll be up and will be going out when it comes through.
  8. Quite the battle between the Euro and the GFS as to the outcome. Its either a nothing burger or a light 1-3" event for at least parts of the region.
  9. Only have 2.3 so far. I just shoveled so I can tell what the squall brings
  10. 0z GFS continues to keep the NS and SS energy completely separated with no sharpness to the NS shortwave, so no dice.
  11. I will make it my mission to ensure that “beef squall” carries on in weather weenie terminology for years to come.
  12. Hello all, just visiting for a few days from California. Have not seen accumulating snow fall since 2016 when we left, so I'll be up later peeking out the windows!
  13. Same here…mod snow, nice big flakes, solid 0.5-1”/hr type stuff.
  14. Video that Jebwalk! Love to live vicariously thru you today / tonight / tomorrow.
  15. Hey, can always go partake in the 'ole one-finger-salute-style prostate massage while watching BAM Weather blow snot rockets, if that comforts ya.
  16. I really feel we have allowed way too much outside noise affect wx forecasting. These models have no clue what to digest anymore. We have made something that was already complicated even more complicated. I believe the models should not be able to go past 240 hours at most.
  17. Wishing all a Happy New Year!
  18. Happy New Year @Ralph Wiggum
  19. Have about an inch on the snowboard so far, getting into a bit of a lull ahead of the snow squall line. Winds have been surprisingly feisty for most of the duration of this early steady snow with a lot of 25 mph+ gusts. So snow’s been blowing around a good bit.
