More wiggle room in the interior, but a little more tenuous out this way. Well, any case, I’m just hoping we pull something out before this month ends. March is a long month to have the culmination of an inch of snow to show for it.

The 5 day period from the 15th to the 20th is pretty good for mid March standards for the region on the EPS, GEFS & AI EPS. -

Yes, 0z models will be tougher for sure to stay up for with the time change, but if we get a legit threat in the short range, I’m sure that I’ll stay awake! -

Always fun to go back and play Monday morning QB with the SPC outlook from the day before. Shows that a lot of areas within the slight outlook were not impacted by severe, while other areas probably could have had higher probabilities. Shows how hard it is to forecast these events with so many variables in play.

Super Nino would obvioisly be warm but if it’s regular mod/strong, I’m not too concerned. We can rock in those. Those previous winters before last year were like Virginia climo. They aren’t normal.

Tracking season ends tonight unfortunately -
Idk, the cloud deck is looking stout. Hoping we get some clearing by mid afternoon at least.

That 2010 storm before Xmas was actually a retrograde job. Backed in from almost the E or ENE. Got us a white Xmas in ORH. Cape got croaked but we had something like 2” or so.
-
My worry is Nino gets strong and then probably a snap back from these cold winters. I know the last several have been warmer than normal…but the trend line is up. Just sucks.
-
I’d like it better if it was 15 degrees warmer lol
-
Maybe. Previous few winters prior to last year were pretty damned warm. Those aren’t normal…like at all. This one wasn’t normal either but the interior averages between 55-80 days of snow cover per season so my expectations aren’t snow and then immediately torching it away. The pack longevity was definitely way more anomalous on the coast and esp south shore/Cape, so I’ll grant that.

Already wiping more

I hate this weather I’m sure April will be just as bad
-
Agree. If we get a 3-6+ event this month that’s the icing on the cake
-
Very boring Last opportunity for many coming up then winter is sadly over

That camera so fancy it's notifying you of a nest up in those spruce trees.

I am just recalling previous recent Spring/Summer seasons when I’ve checked in on here. Not saying you, just the general discussion of the topic. Again, I won’t get involved in those discussions anymore. Also, I’m kind of rooting for generally dry conditions the next few months with my daughter’s softball seasons beginning now. Rescheduling practices & games is a nightmare, lol! -
Seriously though. This winter will spoil many with such prolonged pack. Better get used to getting snow and then torching it 3 days later now. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
-
Almost here. Dews and heat almost upon us.

Mid atlantic winters coming up
