June 2025 discussion-obs: Summerlike
TheClimateChanger replied to wdrag's topic in New York City Metro
That's pretty typical for early June. For a couple of representative spots in the region... the mean high temperature for the first 8 days of June at Bridgeport, Connecticut has been 76.1F, which is 24th highest of 77 years. Newark is 80.8F, which is 38th highest of 95 years. A cold year would be like 1945, which was 62.8F at Newark, or 1997 (67.6F at Newark and 64.6F at Bridgeport, Conn.). -
It's effing 63°. I mean really?
-
classic backdoor bust o rama-temps going nowhere today-here we have drizzle since about 12:30pm
-
July will be rockin'
-
Yup . It’s coming. Probably Sunday too
-
Hottest day of year IMBY. Just hit 93
-
Looking real active for Father's Day weekend for many https://x.com/skydrama/status/1932062862060437972

I don't recall any forecasts saying temps would stay this low during the day.
-
Euro cancels Saturday. Un-fucking-real.
-
There has been a big change on the Euro in the mid to late week period. The multiple rounds of storms that had been forecast to remain north of my area are now dropping farther south. Instead of zero rain, 1-2" is possible.

Lone Star tick - makes red meats produce the sickening, not sure about poultry/seafood. I don't know if all LS tick bites cause the change or, like deer ticks, only a (probably large) fraction carry the causal organism.

2025 Lawns & Gardens Thread. Making Lawns Great Again
tamarack replied to Damage In Tolland's topic in New England
In April as bare spots began to appear, some folks in the St. John Valley would snowblow the plow piles onto the paved road so it would be gone soonest. Drivers there learned to be cautious. -
beautiful outside i got to wear my hoodie today
-
This will get all the way into NNE
-
Temperatures have been average...
-
No one's asking me ... I get it. But this is not as bad as May 2005 imho.
-
Maybe down there.
- Today
-
Wonder if there could be some strong storms tomorrow late afternoon out in E NY
-
mist and drizzle here-the wind has stopped though
-
Little sliver of rain training over my location. Rainy Monday, I'll take it.
-
Another shut in Washed out Saturday . Perhaps lingering into Father’s Day
-
Ever since The Climate Changer came in here talking about top 5 warmest May (circa 5/15) it has completely gone to shit. This is by far one of the more depressing stretches I can remember. Legit making me sad and angry. It's the weekends that are doing it to me.
-
Chilly out around 2am when dog was like "hey, I know your asleep and super tired but I gotta pee" Dreary afternoon with more showers to my west. So no grass cutting today. I'll just work on my model trains instead.

I do think there is something to this September being warmer than June idea, I wonder how many times that's happened in the past? So in 1983 September had 7 90 degree days including a 99 on 9/11, how many times has June had 7 90 degree days with a peak of 99 or higher?

But no 100 at LGA either? We can discount Central Park lol
