Voyager
So here we are. June 1st and the start of meteorological summer. Will the rollercoaster ride continue, or will we finally sustain normal to above normal temps with good thunderstorm chances?

I remember we had a summer that wasn't back in the mid '80's , I can't remember the year though.

I can't either, but we had a rather cool and wet summer a few years back, too, if I remember correctly. Just can't think of exactly what year it was, though. canderson
Heat and big humidity kick in this weekend, it seems. Also a very, very dry pattern ahead.

My forecast for next Monday right now is back down to 70 again. I think it's been pretty established by now that the summer will be back-ended and July and August should be warmer. Still beats 50s and 60s. Also looks like a potentially tropical system will be in the area on Monday. If it stays to the south, it may get warmer just by virtue of the sun being closer. Unusually warm temps. And before anyone replies with comments about May's weather, there was plenty of complaining about how cold it was in April. It really wasn't.

My complaints weren't so much about the cool downs, but how cold they actually got. If they would have been a little less extreme, I wouldn't have minded We're always going to warm and cool as fronts and systems move through the area. ChescoWx
Through May this has been our coldest start to a year since 2015. We should finally see some above normal temperatures starting tomorrow and peaking at around 90 degrees by Saturday. We then see some increasing chances of showers by Saturday night with temperatures cooling back to near normal levels by next Monday.
