Voyager Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:48 AM So here we are. June 1st and the start of meteorological summer. Will the rollercoaster ride continue, or will we finally sustain normal to above normal temps with good thunderstorm chances?

I remember we had a summer that wasn't back in the mid '80's , I can't remember the year though.

I can't either, but we had a rather cool and wet summer a few years back, too, if I remember correctly. Just can't think of exactly what year it was, though. I think it's been pretty established by now that the summer will be back-ended and July and August should be warmer. Still beats 50s and 60s. Also looks like a potentially tropical system will be in the area on Monday. If it stays to the south, it may get warmer just by virtue of the sun being closer. Monday A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Unusually warm temps. And before anyone replies with comments about May's weather, there was plenty of complaining about how cold it was in April. It really wasn't.

ChescoWx
Today will be the 11th of the last 13 days with below normal temperatures. Sunny and dry through Saturday. We should finally see some warmer than average temperatures by the end of the week and into the weekend. Rain chances look to increase by Sunday. My complaints weren't so much about the cool downs, but how cold they actually got. If they would have been a little less extreme, I wouldn't have minded We're always going to warm and cool as fronts and systems move through the area.
