Came 1* shy of tying for the record at RDU   Got to 95* today.

97F at RDU for the 4pm ob. I am already over this shit. That also sets the new record for all time earliest heat to this magnitude.

That’s crazy! 94.8 for the high here (hottest day of year so far) but a far cry from the *at least* 97 RDU hit. Guess the drought/heat spike theory is back for RDU sensor being warmer than everywhere else

I think that temperature is pretty close to spot on at RDU. Im two miles wnw of there and my PWS got to 98.  This heat is pretty intense and I know all about the sensor issue at RDU. We had the same issue at DCA too.

Speaking of RDU, the station is right smack in the middle of the new runway construction. Does anyone know where it's going to go?
