I found that beneath the grass (which I just mowed), I had mushrooms growing in my lawn.. Mushrooms! What lawn in a "severe drought" has mushrooms....

Maybe the severe drought was the friends we made along the way?

Tomatoes. eggplants, peppers and squash all doing great so far.  I keep pruning the tomatoe suckers and its working out wonderfully.

The lawn soil moisture % is very good, but the heat is preventing it from looking better.  Last August trended drier as the month went on, I had a 34 % soil moisture near August 1 st and then it steadily declined to about 19 % by Sept 1 st. Maybe this August will be different.

Damn...just realized that I hadn't created this thread like I normally do from year to year.

Garden is OK this year. L:eafy vegetables and herbs are doing great and my jalapenos are killer. Tomatoes are less than good. I got them started late and planted them a little later than ideal when they were smaller than I would normally plant them. I'm also noticeably not getting quite as much sun as in years past with neighbors' trees growing really tall and wide at this point, so that certainly can't help.
