u gonna get some of those remnants or is it duster days down there?

Just cloud cover and maybe some sprinkles, but that will knock down temps briefly until the weekend.

It was the 3rd top 10 hottest Summer and 4th top 20 hottest Summer though within the past 5 years...

Cc drop as that kink moved out over the river into Canada

wow! I hope nobody got hurt

It started to rain heavily here with several lightning bolts in the clouds, 20-40mph wind gusts, a few (minor?) wind reports around Toledo, including a tree down in the downtown Toledo area. Low bits of clouds were moving quick with the onset of the storm, like 40mph or more.

More and more evidence via X coming in that a tornado might have in fact touched down the lower east side of the city. Widespread damage.

The TDS in Windsor, Canada seems to have been near the Forest Glade subdivision and the international airport.

Mary Sheffield (Detroit's mayor) says the NWS informed her privately it was a tornado, although their final official public report along with the rating is still pending.

This is the first tornado to touch down in Detroit proper since the historic July 1997 outbreak.

At the very least, I'm thinking EF-1 (possibly EF-2).

there is currently a small rotation that's not that far from Wyandotte Michigan (Michsnowfreak) -- 11miles southwest

They confirmed a tornado in Lincoln Park, like 3 miles N of me. It was a brief EF-0. It was crazy driving through the area because it such a small area but the tree damage stood out like a sore thumb.

There were scattered trees down everywhere but the lincoln park tornado the tree massacre was noticeable.

This was the 2nd tornado in Lincoln Park this year, the other an EF-1 April 15th. Can never recall one so close.
