We are seeing some lake effect streamers making into as far southeast as Chester County this morning and don't be surprised if we see a couple more snow showers during the day. We have already reached our high temperature for the day at about 130 this morning. Today’s temperatures will remain below freezing in most spots with wind gusts as high as 35 mph. Our top 10 coldest start to December looks like it will continue for at least the next week, and we may see a couple of snow chances over the next few days. The first one overnight Friday night looks very light while the next potential event toward Sunday morning could bring some locations their “largest” snow event this season. Of course, that would not be hard to do as our largest "event" has only been 0.5" Behind whatever happens on Sunday another very cold air mass moves in on Sunday night and lasts through Tuesday with temperatures from Sunday through Tuesday remaining in the mid to upper 20's for highs with lows in the teens.

Took this pic yesterday afternoon when it was snowing. The creek is freezing over. Imperssive for this time of year.

May be an image of covered bridge and railroad

I just want to say that you have a knack for taking pictures that captures the true essence of the season in which you're taking them. This is another beautiful shot.

I have a colleague who returned to the office yesterday from Potter County - said he left with just about 10" OTG and had a low the other morning of -16.6. He wanted to know if that was cold enough to prompt me to wear a jacket.

Nooner NAM nest has LES streamer parked over my place in Gaines.  As sled trails open at close of rifle season (dark) saturday night, it'd be fun a shit to take them up for a rip and blow much dust off them.  Hoping norther woods can survive whatever the warmup is (although Ens guidance sorta says not likely).  Tellies show mixed signals IMO but neg PNA is not typically a good precurser to winter in the east.  Coupled w/ WAR....yuk.  Still enough time for that to change for better or worse.

I also had to plow my driveway and that always brings a smile to my face.
