Doesn’t really matter for Philly but for the LV/Poconos, one more tick colder and we could end up with a decent little surprise event. Check out the current feed on the traffic cams along 78 west of Allentown. It’s precipitating only it’s not rain.

Still nice to see something other than rain.

Same in Allentown now. This is overperforming a little bit. Steady snow which is sticking to the grass and my car. Looks like the R/S line is way south of here too with a snow report near Boyertown. I love these little surprise events.

Roads up here are caving even though they were treated from the last storm. Hopng for good outcome this weekend. Things seem to be coming in to agreement for something more than an inch... The 850mb freezing line is sinking south - now just north of Chester County and through Northern Berks county. If precip sticks around past 5pm we might see a few flakes as far south as Chesco. LVblizzard
Drizzle here as the main slug of precip exits. Looks like we got about 1/2” of snow. I expected a grassy dusting at most so I’m happy with the slight overperformance. Now let’s hope Saturday night-Sunday becomes a nice plowable event. ChescoWx
How cold has this year's first 10 days of December been in Chester County PA? Glad you asked - This is the 10th coldest start to December since records began way back in 1893. Of note 5 of the top 11 cold starts to December have all occurred since 2000.
