Snow has stopped as of 3:30pm. Most accurate measurement I could get on unpaved sheltered wood surface was 1.25"

This was from early this morning at sunrise.  I posted it 8 hours ago on page 1.  It was pretty treacherous out there this morning in parts of the area.  The sticking snow surprised many.

I believe that 51 knots (59 mph) at islip. A few gusts were very high end.

I wasn't home when it stopped snowing but it was sticking to everything, even the edges of the local streets. When I got home there was easily a quarter inch accumulated on everything but the streets.

If 59mph at Islip is real, pretty sure there should’ve been a high wind warning. Today definitely should’ve been a wind advisory.
