While a 92 degree difference is impressive, the national (and world) record for 24 hour temperature change IN ONE LOCATION is 103 degrees in Loma, Montana.  Temp went from -54 to 49 on January 14/15 1972.

Didn't this happen in one minute via a Chinook?

I was up in State College early this morning, and it was a general 1-2” or so up there. A legitimate plowable snowfall in some parts of town and the surrounding area up there. Good thing this didn’t occur a few hours later than it did, as P-Dot was able to get on it before the morning rush.

I'm glad PennDOT was on the ball somewhere because 453 from Water Street to Tyrone was pure, unadulterated ass this morning.

The Chinook is absolutely correct.  The write up is as follows:

"A downslope chinook wind event pushed the temperature at the town of Loma from -54°F at 9 am on January 14, 1972, to 49°F by 8 am on January 15th. The 103°F (57.2°C) rise is the greatest change in temperature ever officially measured on earth within a 24-hour period."

Can you imagine?  According to AI B), the Lancaster daily range record is 57 degrees set on December 23, 2022.

Didn't places in the Dakotas go from 70's to feet of snow in 12 hours

Dense fog and 28 degrees this morning. Wasn't exactly expecting a foggy morning.

Not exactly sure what is up with these cold mornings and dense fog.

31 for the low, temperature didn’t budge all night.

Nice temperature inversion we have this morning. I remember winter storms in the past where I'd be 30-31 near sea level with freezing drizzle and rain and ski roundtop at the base would be 34-35 and at top it would be low 40s
